For our client, who had previous experience working with architects, we enlarged, completely gutted and remodeled this Twin Peaks diamond in the rough. The top floor had a rear-sloping ceiling that cut off the amazing view, so our first task was to raise the roof so the great room had a uniformly high ceiling. Clerestory windows bring in light from all directions. In addition, we removed walls, combined rooms, and installed floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall sliding doors in sleek black aluminum at each floor to create generous rooms with expansive views. At the basement, we created a full-floor art studio flooded with light and with an en-suite bathroom for the artist-owner. New exterior decks, stairs and glass railings create outdoor living opportunities at three of the four levels. We designed modern open-riser stairs with glass railings to replace the existing cramped interior stairs. The kitchen features a 16 foot long island which also functions as a dining table. We designed a custom wall-to-wall bookcase in the family room as well as three sleek tiled fireplaces with integrated bookcases. The bathrooms are entirely new and feature floating vanities and a modern freestanding tub in the master. Clean detailing and luxurious, contemporary finishes complete the look.

For this inset handle shaker-style kitchen in Fulham, we opted for a peninsula instead of an island to maximise on floor space. This layout allowed us to give our clients a generous dining area by the patio doors. We love the combination of the limed oak flooring, Little Greene's Pompeian Ash paint colour, and our burnished brass inset handles. The sleek ceiling extractor above the hob is unassuming, allowing our client to have two superb industrial pendant lights accentuating the peninsula.

Custom home for a client, incorporating sumptuous amenities throughout and effortlessly blending modern and luxury living, all in a superb Redwood City location. The contemporary open floor plan is punctuated by engineered white oak hardwood floors, LED lighting, soaring 12-foot ceilings, and double-paned windows flooding the residence with natural light. The home offers four bedrooms, two and half bathrooms, and an open family room and kitchen serving as a natural communal area and offering sliding glass doors opening to the back patio and yard, seamlessly integrating indoor and outdoor living. The private backyard features a large patio with space for an outdoor living room or al fresco dining area, plus a lush lawn and a fire pit shaded by mature redwoods. Completed May 2016

Anche nel rivestimento della cucina è stato utilizzato il disegno del marmo calacatta, vero trait d'union della casa. Il colore bianco nei pannelli dei mobili, laccati lucidi e nel top è stato scelto per dare quanta più luminosità possibile alla zona giorno.

An AEG induction range is centre stage and provides a seamless look to the cooking area. An aluminum system provided a way to have easy access to the drawers without having exposed handles and complements the warm gray of the quartz countertop. A pot filler easily takes care of heavy pasta loads. An oven/microwave/warming drawer stack completes the picture.

Custom built walnut cabinetry with a waterfall quartz island. The walls of cabinetry are wrapped with similar waterfall forms. Thermador appliances are set in flush with the flat walnut veneer doors.

Rather than positioning an island in the centre of the room, we opted to bring the furniture out from the adjacent wall. This allowed us to introduce a generous dining area, making use of all the available floor space. The peninsula is crucial to the practical success of this kitchen, whilst a series of drawers provide plenty of efficient storage. The small informal seating area on the peninsula adds a lovely social aspect. We painted this inset handle shaker kitchen in Pompeian Ash by Little Greene and the handles are our own design, in a burnished brass finish.
