This large kitchen makes the most of its footprint by incorporating a beautiful, oversized island. A gleaming, shark tooth worktop is an eye-catching contrast to the dark grey finish. The open shelf theme is continued offering additional storage and a second sink is cleverly set into the centrepiece giving the rest of the kitchen extra space for preparation and cooking.

Higham FurnitureThis Baker's Table style island creates a nice contrast with the contemporary Handleless Shaker cabinets in this kitchen. The main runs are painted in Little Greene's French Grey whilst the island is in Little Greene's 'Basalt' The island has Armac Martin Cotswold cup handless in an Antique Brass finish and a single stave oak worktop.
BP Kitchens & InteriorsRhona and David Randall’s 1986 home near Basingstoke, North Hampshire originally had a kitchen with a separate utility room attached, which meant that their kitchen space was somewhat limited to being a functional kitchen and not the kitchen, dining, living space that they could use to entertain friends and family in.
It was important to then create a new utility space for the family within the newly enlarged kitchen dining room, and Rhona commented:
“Mark then designed in a Utility/Laundry Cupboard that is now hidden away behind bi-fold doors and is a much better use of space and now has our washing machine, tumble dryer and water softener. It was also his idea to take off the kitchen door leading into the hallway, which now gives a better flow to the room. Mark then designed in another bi-fold door to hide away the big fridge freezer and to use part of that area for coats.”

burlanes interiorsWhen a client visited our Sevenoaks showroom to enquire about a new kitchen little did we know that six months later we would have transformed her entire Sevenoaks home from a rather muddled house into a beautiful, functional family living space.
Higham FurnitureA Rangemaster Pro Plus is surrounded by two Handleless Shaker three-drawer units with the top drawer flipped upside down to create the appearance of two Shaker panels. To the right of the cooker is a small Villeroy & Boch Cisterna 26 prep sink and a Quooker boiling water tap. The cabinets are painted in 'French Grey' by Little Greene, the worktops are Bianco Carrara Marble and there is an antique mirror splashback behind the cooker framed by a large chimney with bespoke corbels.

The Secret DrawerThis large contemporary kitchen was previously several seperate rooms, with building work caried our by our in-house, on-site team including builder, fitter and decorator. We offer end to end project solutions like this, or work flexibly with contractors. The kitchen island was designed and handbuilt around the structural pillar and is finished in Farrow & Ball #StiffkeyBlue. The fridge, freezer and wine store are #SubZero with drinks cabinets to either side.
