A beautiful German handless black kitchen. Are you brave enough to try this colour combination? The polished concrete floor adds light and the brick slips make for a real 'Hoxton' style feeling. Three large pendant lights above the Bora hob, makes the space streamlined with no bulkhead needed for extraction. The large 'L' shaped breakfast bar is perfect for socialising.

This project began with an entire penthouse floor of open raw space which the clients had the opportunity to section off the piece that suited them the best for their needs and desires. As the design firm on the space, LK Design was intricately involved in determining the borders of the space and the way the floor plan would be laid out. Taking advantage of the southwest corner of the floor, we were able to incorporate three large balconies, tremendous views, excellent light and a layout that was open and spacious. There is a large master suite with two large dressing rooms/closets, two additional bedrooms, one and a half additional bathrooms, an office space, hearth room and media room, as well as the large kitchen with oversized island, butler's pantry and large open living room. The clients are not traditional in their taste at all, but going completely modern with simple finishes and furnishings was not their style either. What was produced is a very contemporary space with a lot of visual excitement. Every room has its own distinct aura and yet the whole space flows seamlessly. From the arched cloud structure that floats over the dining room table to the cathedral type ceiling box over the kitchen island to the barrel ceiling in the master bedroom, LK Design created many features that are unique and help define each space. At the same time, the open living space is tied together with stone columns and built-in cabinetry which are repeated throughout that space. Comfort, luxury and beauty were the key factors in selecting furnishings for the clients. The goal was to provide furniture that complimented the space without fighting it.

This kitchen shows a classic design in a mix of greys with a high gloss finish, Stainless steel handle-less base units, which has then been mixed with White quartz worktops. The customer also specified a custom Granite breakfast bar, which is moveable. The breakfast bar goal post style sits over the island and has the option to pull out to create a breakfast bar over hang for bar stools. This bespoke feature was created by the stone fabricators Stone Connection based in Wheldrake in York.

This luxury dream kitchen was the vision of Diane Berry for her retired clients based in Cheshire. They wanted a kitchen that had lots of worktop and storage space, an island and space for a TV and a couple of chairs and two dining tables one large for entertaining and a small area for casual dining for two to six. The design has an extra tall extension to help bring in a feeling of light and space, allowing natural light to flood to the back of the room. Diane used some amazing materials, the dark oak cross grain doors, Dekton concrete worktops and Miele graphite grey ovens. Buster and Punch pendant lights add the finishing touches and some amazing pieces of modern art add the personality of the clients. Super large format floor tiles bring a simple calm base for the room and help with the work factor of the fully mitred Dekton island, the angled knee recess for the bar stools draws in the angled ceiling and roof lights above the bookcase, and in this area Acupanel vertical timber wall neatly opens to allow access to service neatly concealed behind. Diane Berry and her team worked closely with Prime construction ltd who carried out the construction works, lots of hard work by many tradesmen brought this dream kitchen to fruition.

Besides the subtle details in the panels, cabinetry, mullion doors, and island ceiling, this modern white kitchen is more interesting through the combination of materials and colors. Like the addition of a dark mahogany stained island, shelves and drawer fronts, the stainless steel appliances and a copper hood. Plenty of details to keep you interested and engaged. This modern and fresh kitchen was created with our client's growing family in mind. By removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room, we were able to create a large gathering island to be used for entertaining and daily family use. Its custom green cabinetry provides a casual yet sophisticated vibe to the room, while the large wall of gray cabinetry provides ample space for refrigeration, wine storage and pantry use. We love the play of closed space against open shelving display! Lastly, the kitchen sink is set into a large bay window that overlooks the family yard and outdoor pool.

A city condo needed an uplift, all finishes started to feel outdated, the kitchen's layout did not work for a dynamic couple who love to entertain and play Bridge with their friends on the regular basis. We developed a plan how to provide a luxurious experience and necessary changes in the limited space. The condo has some physical limitations as well, such as the load bearing walls could not be changed, the duct work had to stay in place, and the floor finishes had to satisfy strict sound restrictions.

This space was re-created in the original part of the house - the 1980's suspended ceiling removed and original plaster work and cornices revealed. Contemrporary kitchen with marble surfaces with a storage wall concealing mechanical services.
