Casa Mille unfolds within the 1930s extension of a historic 19th-century palace belonging to the Counts Callori family, in what used to be the Count's artisan workshop and the former stables in the outdoor garden. Only the kitchen is the only room created inside the building's nineteenth-century sleeve. The history of the property has provided one of the most florid design strands of contents and atmospheres to all the design: the living room was created in the Count's artisan workshop, influencing the choice of an industrial floor in helicopter concrete. The stage instead reflects the historical soul of the house and invades the contemporary part with an industrial finish with an asymmetrical cut. To balance the more informal part of the industrial part, the choice fell on a contemporary and iconic design, through the use of American walnut in custom furnishings and textured and textured upholstery, softening the hard character of the helicopter concrete floor and making the flavor of the whole most welcoming project. The materials in each room chase and contrast, enhancing each other also in the finishes: all the wood has a gloss component that makes it shiny and reflective as opposed to the more opaque and matt finishes of the laminates and lacquers and fabrics.

We have fitted a small breakfast bar into this U-shape kitchen, while still maintaining the large, open feel of the room. It is lit up with under wall unit LED strip lighting.

The client knew that it was about time to get a new kitchen and replace it with the original kitchen that came with the house. However, she had already bar stools in the lime mint green color, it she wanted to implement this color into the color scheme of the new kitchen design. With the ability of Alno to provide NCS colors to their collection of the smooth lacquer door style, we had created a nice balance combination between the lime mint green color and a nice arctic white color. This amazing combination of colors gave immediately a fresh clean feeling to this well designed kitchen layout. Rather than positioning an island in the centre of the room, we opted to bring the furniture out from the adjacent wall. This allowed us to introduce a generous dining area, making use of all the available floor space. The peninsula is crucial to the practical success of this kitchen, whilst a series of drawers provide plenty of efficient storage. The small informal seating area on the peninsula adds a lovely social aspect. We painted this inset handle shaker kitchen in Pompeian Ash by Little Greene and the handles are our own design, in a burnished brass finish.

This modern and fresh kitchen was created with our client's growing family in mind. By removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room, we were able to create a large gathering island to be used for entertaining and daily family use. Its custom green cabinetry provides a casual yet sophisticated vibe to the room, while the large wall of gray cabinetry provides ample space for refrigeration, wine storage and pantry use. We love the play of closed space against open shelving display! Lastly, the kitchen sink is set into a large bay window that overlooks the family yard and outdoor pool.

We make fully bespoke kitchens, which means that we can make use of all available space. In this kitchen, we used the space under the worktop overhang on the island to add shallow-depth cupboards. These are not meant for everyday items that are in constant use, but are perfect for less-often used items. Our client chose to store drinks bottles in theirs which we think is clever!
