A kitchen ideal for entertaining was accomplished by utilizing integrated appliances that included both a refrigerator and wine refrigerator, two dishwashers (the owner was accustomed to having 5) and a BBQ for indoor grilling using Miele cooktops. Studio Becker’s Concealed Elevation System (CES) was utilized in the island for storage of small appliances and maximizing the space inside the large island, while seating at the island provides an opportunity for casual dining. Collection M was utilized in a combination of Manhattan Alpi grey matte and Portofino in white high gloss, accented by aluminum toekicks with the bar cylinder and CES interior in aquamarine. The client’s request for a bar and liqueur storage was accomplished with a display featuring drawers topped with clear glass. The display is crowned by a cylindrical champagne cooler and glass bar that swivels.

The railing on the stairs are 12mm tempered glass panels. The counter top on the bar is Pure White Caesarstone and the cabinets are flat panel MDF doors with Neff aluminum and stainless steel drawer boxes. The wood is American Apple, in natural horizontal open-grain finish. The flooring is reclaimed beech antiqued engineered hardwood. The window above the bar looks directly into the pool.

Now this is a bar made for entertaining, conversation and activity. With seating on both sides of the peninsula you'll feel more like you're in a modern brewery than in a basement. A secret hidden bookcase allows entry into the hidden brew room and taps are available to access from the bar side. What an energizing project with bright bold pops of color against warm walnut, white enamel and soft neutral walls.
