Next, all the garage cabinetry was installed, and some slatwall storage for the walls. Cabinets are very attractive with silver powder coated doors that have radias edges and grey boxes. We recommend all of garage cabinetry to be installed off the floor for moisture reasons. 駐車場やガレージの種類と特徴

車を停めるためのスペースには、家や庭と一体化したフルオープンの「カースペース」、「カーポート」、「ガレージ」と、大きく3種類に分類されます。ご自宅の外観のイメージや敷地、愛車の種類や、ライフスタイルに合ったものをお選びください。
  • カースペース：カースペースは屋根も壁も設けないオープンなスタイルの駐車場で、短い工期で完成できる、工事費が安く抑えられる、乗り降りや荷物の積み下ろしが簡単、などの利点があります。一方、直射日光や雨風から愛車を守れない、防犯面で不安があるといった側面は、事前に考慮にいれるべき点と言えます。マンションやアパートなどの集合住宅では、敷地内の1階部分に設けていることが多くみられます。
  • カーポート：カーポートは一戸建て住宅の中で最もポピュラーなタイプの駐車場で、屋根と柱のみで構成された車止めスペースを指します。屋根が付いているため、雨降りの日でも濡れることなく乗り降りしたり、荷物を積み降ろしたりすることができます。カーポートの設置は、壁にがあるガレージよりもスペースを取らず、費用も安く抑えることができます。 カーポートのスタイルは「片流れ」と呼ばれる、片方の二本の柱で屋根を支える形がもっとも標準的な形ですが、積雪地や風の強い地域では「折板タイプ」が多く取り入れられています。屋根の素材によっては、雨や日照による塗装の色褪せやシートの日焼けから車を守り、車内温度の上昇を防止するといった効果も期待することができます。 カーポートのサイズは、一般的に 3m×6m が必要とされていますが、自転車やバイクを駐輪する場合、さらに 1m が必要となります。家の前の道路の幅や、家の向きなどの他、バックで駐車する場合、家に対して斜めに駐車する場合、複数の車を縦列駐車する場合、などの条件を考慮するようにしましょう。 カーポートのセキュリティを強化する場合、門扉（カーゲート）の設置は欠かせません。人感センサーが付いた照明を設置すれば、さらに防犯効果が高まります。門扉にはさまざまなスタイルがありますので、家の外観にぴったり合うものを選びましょう。
  • ガレージ：ガレージ（車庫）は、柱と梁、壁、屋根で構成される「車を格納する建築物」を指します。家から独立したスタイルや、建物の一部として組み込まれるスタイルのものまであり、あらゆる天候から愛車を守り、カースペースやカーポートに比べても、防犯性が高いのが大きな特徴と言えます。ガレージは閉ざされた空間のため、カーポートよりも大きなスペースを必要とします。ドアを開けての乗り降りや、メンテナンスのことを考えると、奥行きは前と後に30〜50cm、床から天井までの高さは 2m は確保するとよいでしょう。 また、コンテンポラリースタイルのガレージは車を停めておくスペースとして使うだけでなく、趣味の空間、暮らしを豊かに楽しむための空間として取り入れてみてはいかがでしょうか？ 大型スクリーンを設置して、ドライブイン・シアターさながらの大迫力で映画を楽しんだり、楽器の練習をしたり、日曜大工や油絵、陶芸などの趣味を満喫したりと、ガレージの活用法は無限大に広がります。

駐車スペース建築前の確認事項

独立型のコンテンポラリースタイルのガレージはもちろんのこと、柱と屋根だけで建設されるカーポートのように駐車スペースが住まいと別棟になる場合、三方が壁で囲まれていなくても、屋根があれば「建築物（建物）」と分類されるため、建築基準法や都市計画法が適用される場合があります。 法律が適用されると、建ぺい率、容積率、採光、用途地域、地区計画、仕様規定などに関する条件が基準に基づき定められるため、いくら自分の家の敷地内であっても、希望するタイプのガレージ・駐車スペースを作ることができない場合があります。また、火災や地震保険の対象物となるためにも、事前に施工業者とよく相談し、建設可能な駐車スペースのタイプを把握し、きちんと届出を提出し申請しておくことが大切です。
