Debby Adelman We installed a custom sofa in teal with a queen memory foam pull out bed for extra sleep over guests. We used their existing storage truck and converted it to a coffee table. We created the TV and video game zone using poufs, custom sofa in teal, and a comfy shag kiwi area rug.

We designed the layout of this home around family. The pantry room was transformed into a beautiful, peaceful home office with a cozy corner for the family dog. The living room was redesigned to accommodate the family’s playful pursuits. We designed a stylish outdoor bathroom space to avoid “inside-the-house” messes. Client wanted to showcase her collection of original watercolors. GSB Designs created a feature wall to highlight the artwork. We also provide a small reading niche by the window to view her beloved koi pond and take in the beauty of the backyard. The result is an open, easy, and dynamic space to entertaining or just relax!

Living Room: Our customer wanted to update the family room and the kitchen of this 1970's splanch. By painting the brick wall white and adding custom built-ins we brightened up the space. The decor reflects our client's love for color and a bit of asian style elements. We also made sure that the sitting was not only beautiful, but very comfortable and durable. The sofa and the accent chairs sit very comfortably and we used the performance fabrics to make sure they last through the years. We also wanted to highlight the art collection which the owner curated through the years. Kithen: We enlarged the kitchen by removing a partition wall that divided it from the dining room and relocated the entrance. Our goal was to create a warm and inviting kitchen, therefore we selected a mellow, neutral palette. The cabinets are soft Irish Cream as opposed to a bright white. The mosaic backsplash makes a statement, but remains subtle through its beige tones. We selected polished brass for the hardware, as well as brass and warm metals for the light fixtures which emit a warm and cozy glow. For beauty and practicality, we used quartz for the working surface countertops and for the island we chose a sophisticated leather finish marble with strong movement and gold inflections. Because of our client’s love for Asian influences, we selected upholstery fabric with an image of a dragon, chrysanthemums to mimic Japanese textiles, and red accents scattered throughout. This room was designed to be a TV room and a sitting area. We put two sofa's back to back to create two spaces in this large room. We used concrete slab around the firpeplace to make it modern and paired it with a light hardwood to tie it into the home.

Open concept family room was given a makeover to feel refreshed and contemporary for an empty nester couple. Wood floors were stained a dark espresso and walls painted a Farrow and Ball soft grey that create a perfect backdrop for a neutral palette that get punches of color and patterns with pillows and throws with accessories added for finishing touches. New arm chairs, side and coffee tables, accessories and shelving were added to compliment the reupholstered sofa and small throw rug. Large pile sisal rugs grounds all elements together.

Our Clients loved their home, their backyard and their neighborhood, but wanted a new feel to their 1960’s Colonial. So they asked us to give it a complete internal “facelift.” Now, elegant mahogany doors set the tone for the graceful Entrance Hall; the stunning renovated Kitchen is open to the Family Room; the expanded “back of the house” area between the Garage and Kitchen accommodates Laundry and Mud Rooms, a Walk-in Pantry, and Pool Shower Room and Closet. On the second floor, the Kids’ Bedrooms and Bathrooms are updated with new fixtures and finishes; and the reconfigured Master Suite fashions a sun-filled Master Bedroom with vaulted ceiling, a large Dressing Room, and beautiful Bathroom. To our Clients’ delight, the internal “facelift” was a genuine transformation, and gave their home a fresh, new beginning.

For this open-concept home, we created a contemporary look with modern farmhouse touches using vibrant blues and greens mixed with an organic stone fireplace and exposed ceiling beams. We integrated subtle but powerful chevron prints, which paired nicely with the clean, tailored furnishings. Overall, this design proves that fun and vibrant can merge with neutral and sophisticated -- which offered our clients the best of both worlds. Home located in Mississauga, Ontario.
