This home was the Bronze medalist for "Best Integrated Home" in Electronic House Magazine and Silver Medalist from the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association.

This house is discreetly tucked into its wooded site in the Mad River Valley near the Sugarbush Resort in Vermont. The soaring roof lines complement the slope of the land and open up views though large windows to a meadow planted with native wildflowers. The house was built with natural materials of cedar shingles, fir beams and native stone walls. These materials are complemented with innovative touches including concrete floors, composite exterior wall panels and exposed steel beams. A Cotswold village house was stripped back to its core, refurbished and then extended. The purpose being to create an expansive, airy and dramatic space. A space that flows and works for both family life and entertaining whilst still complimenting the existing house.

A contemporary bushland house on the Yarra River, designed for a young family that love the connection to the outdoors & entertaining This Warrandyte site occupies a prime location on a stunning bushland perch above the Yarra River. Covered in trees, with restricted access and falling steeply to the river it was not without its challenges however, including Environmental and Bushfire Overlays (BAL29). The views, orientation, topography and context have very much generated the form and materiality of the house as the dual wings of the house slide with the landscape to articulate privacy for neighbouring properties whilst also maximising views, daylight and access to external entertaining spaces. Twin butterfly roofs lift the eaves to catch daylight from every direction and enhance the sense of space and connection to outdoors whilst a glazed circulation slot creates a dramatic but efficient connection between the two forms. A generous roof terrace with external fireplace and arbour allow for contemporary outdoor entertaining whilst allowing the natural terrain of the site to fall below, relatively untouched. La progettazione della zona giorno per questo appartamento è iniziato dalla cucina: abbiamo proposto alla cliente una soluzione studiata con Modulnova. Una parete colonne in miltech metal si contraddistingue per le ante sporgenti che chiudono su un vano aperto con mensoline in metallo e pannellatura rovere. La penisola parallela alle colonne in miltech iron è attrezzata con piano cottura e lavello incassati in un piano in gres, sormontato da mensola snack sempre in rovere. Per il soggiorno abbiamo ripreso la stessa finitura della cucina, inserendo anche qua una colonna contenitiva con barra appendiabiti, cosi come richiesto dalla cliente. La scelta del divano è stata in parte dettata dallo spazio, l'ingombro del modello proposto infatti è quasi interamente occupato dalle sedute e cuscini d'appoggio, che lo rendono perfetto per chi cerca comunque la comodità.
