This relaxing suite is the perfect getaway after a long day at the beach. The white bed is soft and luxurious, while the mosquito net covering over the canopy bed creates privacy and the cozy feeling of being in your own tropical nest. We used deep blues for the throw pillows and ebony furniture to add contrast without interrupting the zen design. The natural finishes used throughout the house are continued in this room and seen in the teak sliding glass doors, woven blinds, and natural log lamps. The beach aesthetic is also carried into this bedroom with the use of sea shells, a woven sea urchin candle holder, and woven baskets.

When planning this custom residence, the owners had a clear vision – to create an inviting home for their family, with plenty of opportunities to entertain, play, and relax and unwind. They asked for an interior that was approachable and rugged, with an aesthetic that would stand the test of time. Amy Carman Design was tasked with designing all of the millwork, custom cabinetry and interior architecture throughout, including a private theater, lower level bar, game room and a sport court. A materials palette of reclaimed barn wood, gray-washed oak, natural stone, black windows, handmade and vintage-inspired tile, and a mix of white and stained woodwork help set the stage for the furnishings. This down-to-earth vibe carries through to every piece of furniture, artwork, light fixture and textile in the home, creating an overall sense of warmth and authenticity.

Complete master bedroom remodel with stacked stone fireplace, sliding barn door, swing arm wall sconces and rustic faux ceiling beams. New wall-wall carpet, transitional area rug, custom draperies, bedding and simple accessories help create a true master bedroom oasis.

The family needed enough beds to accommodate up to eight visitors, arranged so that people retiring at different times wouldn’t disturb each other, and with room for some play space, too. And it needed to be bright, cheerful, welcoming, and safe.

Ornate furnishings with contemporary gold art in this soft Master Bedroom. Gold, grey blue, cream and black on white shag rug. White, gold and almost black are used in this very large, traditional remodel of an original Landry Group Home, filled with contemporary furniture, modern art and decor. White painted moldings on walls and ceilings, combined with black stained wide plank wood flooring. Very grand spaces, including living room, family room, dining room and music room feature hand knotted rugs in modern light grey, gold and black free form styles. All large rooms, including the master suite, feature white painted fireplace surrounds in carved moldings. Music room is stunning in black venetian plaster and carved white details on the ceiling with burgandy velvet upholstered chairs and a burgandy accented Baccarat Crystal chandelier. All lighting throughout the home, including the stairwell and extra large dining room hold Baccarat lighting fixtures. Master suite is composed of his and her baths, a sitting room divided from the master bedroom by beautiful carved white doors. Guest house shows arched white french doors, ornate gold mirror, and carved crown moldings. All the spaces are comfortable and cozy with warm, soft textures throughout.
