This cocoon of a Boho bedroom has a secret: the queen size platform bed is partially built over the raised foundation of the main house, allowing us to steal a little space to make the room two feet wider. The other part of the bed provides three huge storage drawers below. I was thrilled to discover that the college age occupant-to-be had always wanted a platform bed. Mission accomplished! To save space, the closet was also built into the raised foundation level of the house, but this is hidden by a barn door slider, so no one is the wiser. It was requested that I design the bedroom to accommodate the existing furniture from this young woman's former bedroom. Her style is Boho, and we did it to the max! With two walls in moody dark purple and the other two in lighter lavender, the space is cozy and cheerful, youthful and contemporary, with a bit of shabby chic thrown in for good measure. Colorful patchwork pillows mix with geometrics, florals, and stripes to add to the fun.

Tiffany avait besoin d'aide pour acheter son 1er appartement. Quand elle a visité celui là, au départ, elle n'était pas convaincue. Open shelving provides organization and display while pull out drawers act as a seating area. The storage and seating encourages interaction with the exterior and an opportunity to crack open a book.

We went bold on colour for the focal wall here and threw in side lamps to create a practical and cosy bedroom space.

Yellow bedding made from 100% cotton, with a denim weave, giving you that distinctive look of denim, whilst maintaining super soft, bed linen comfort. Both the duvet cover and pillowcases have a warm sunshine yellow on one side, and the reverse of both uses the paler side of the fabric. We get this unusual effect by utilising both sides of the woven cotton fabric, and we love it. The bed linen is made with 50% Egyptian Cotton, a 260 thread count, and finished with our soft, brushed cotton finish. Duvet covers are available in single, double, king and super king sizes, and matching housewife pillowcases are sold separately. The flat sheet has a contrasting border in the lighter yellow at the top, so you get added layering effect on the bed. Mix and match with our Tiny Stripe Navy sheets. Yellow and Navy are a wonderful combination. In fact, there are so many of our sheets that look great with this design. Which one will you choose?

Sur un air de vacances à Nairobi, cette chambre toute en longueur que Thibault avait du mal à aménager, n'en reste pas moins des plus fonctionnelles. Son besoin était clair : avoir un lit 2 places, 1 coin TV, 1 coin bibliothèque, 1 bureau et 1 dressing. En soit, quand on sait que la chambre fait 17m², on se dit qu'on à la place de faire ce 5 en 1. Mais quand on voit la forme de la pièce qui est un L avec 2 parties étroites et toutes en longueur, l'opération se corse. Alors on a exploité tous les renfoncements et débords de la pièce pour créer les différents espaces et on a utilisé des matières différentes pour les délimiter. L'astuce WherDeco pour créer plusieurs espaces dans une même pièce : Utiliser des matières et/ou des couleurs différentes. aménager les espaces en utilisant le moindre recoin et/ou débord qui naturellement délimitent différentes zones dans la pièce. Vous n'aurez ainsi pas besoin de la cloisonner. Vous apercevez ici 2 espaces : le coin TV délimité par un mur de champlats en bois de chêne, ainsi que le lit, souligné par une tête de lit longitudinale et cette couleur orangé puissante ("Linotte" de Colibri). Ce qui est intéressant dans ce projet, c'est qu'on a réussi à casser visuellement l'effet longueur et étroit de la pièce, rien qu'avec la tête de lit et la peinture utilisées à l'horizontal. L'astuce WherDeco pour savoir comment élargir une pièce : Pour élargir visuellement une pièce, pensez à la peinture. Soit vous appliquez votre peinture de couleur en partie basse des murs les plus courts. Soit vous appliquez une peinture blanche en partie basse sur tous les pans de murs de la pièce et vous mettez la couleur en partie haute. Cela peut donner la sensation d'avoir une pièce plus large qu'en réalité.
