This outdoor/indoor kitchen is located in a beautifully built Pavilion, located just steps away from the pool.

The original house was demolished to make way for a two-story house on the sloping lot, with an accessory dwelling unit below. The upper level of the house, at street level, has three bedrooms, a kitchen and living room. The “great room” opens onto an ocean-view deck through two large pocket doors. The master bedroom can look through the living room to the same view. The owners, acting as their own interior designers, incorporated lots of color with wallpaper accent walls in each bedroom, and brilliant tiles in the bathrooms, kitchen, and at the fireplace. This kitchen had no windows so Pineapple House designers removed the hallway-kitchen, kitchen-dining and kitchen-living walls to gain a view/air/natural light. Pineapple House designed a window-like partition between the kitchen and foyer entry for both structural support/visual separation. With windows all around and each counter run designated with a purpose, who wouldn't love being stuck in this kitchen all day? Natural woods and painted finishes marry together and keep this kitchen relaxed and well appoined. This is an entertainers delight!

You can mix finishes in a kitchen if you layer it the right way! The perimeter cabinets are a light grey and the island is a beautiful teal. The same leathered quartzite was used on both create a cohesive look. The matte black pot filler was installed to match the cabinet hardware and break up the stainless steel finishes in the kitchen.
