Our 2018 Home of the Year is a beautiful beach home featuring “Spalding Tudor” brick exterior with a White Brushed mortar and a distinct stairway leading into the front entrance and back exit of the home. The home also features brick pavers as an exterior pathway accent.

Curved Deck Project with full EPDM 100% dry space under deck: Shows Trex Transcends decking (Spiced Rum center with Vintage Lantern border) with Trex Transcends curved rails (Vintage Lantern rail with black aluminum balusters & white Trex Artisan composite post sleeves) Special features on this project included a sunken kitchen faced with Trex Vintage Lantern Trim & natural blue stone counter. Kitchen features 42" Twin Eagles Gas Grill, Fire Magic Outdoor Fridge, & Twin Eagles Trash Drawer. Sunken kitchen also features benches that double as a bar top for the kitchen level. Above the kitchen there sits a white PVC pergola. Deck EPDM 100% dry system allows for full finished outdoor living area under the deck. This space features a coy pond, bars, recessed lights, ceiling fans, & pendant lights. Just outside this protected space is an inviting full masonry fireplace with seat walls and large hearth.

Transitional Cottage style shore house located in Longport, New Jersey. Features James Hardieplank siding in Evening Blue with James Hardieshingle siding in Light Mist. Azek PVC trim boards provide white accent elements in full boards as well as board and battens. A simple Gaf Timberline Hd shingle roof in Charcoal. All White Andersen windows are used throughout. We were able to keep the scale of the home down and still achieve 3 stories to maximize the lot size & get 3,000 square feet of living space.

Designed to look like it’s always been there, this 4 bedroom shingle style farm house sits on a beautiful private parcel in West Falmouth. The biggest challenge for this project was to take advantage of the primary water views which in this case were in the front of the home. To accomplish this, the main entrance to the house and the outdoor entertainment spaces were all on the front of the house. A screen room resides at the intersection of the wings of the wraparound porch for evening relaxation overlooking the water. The stair to the third floor roof deck provides sweeping views of the Elizabethan Island chain and Buzzards Bay.

Board and batten are combined with natural cedar shingles and a metal roof to create a simply elegant and easy to maintain exterior on this Guilford, CT modern farmhouse.

Street side view of beach house on St. George Island, Florida. This contemporary beach house is built on pilings with parking for two vehicles underneath with an inside covered stairwell and elevator to the first floor living space. Deep overhangs on the metal roof provide protection from the blazing Florida sun and two stacked, covered balconies provide beautiful views of the Gulf of Mexico on the view side. The photo is showing "grey", but the house is actually a pinkish paint color on James Hardie Board.

The rooftop deck is accessed from the Primary Bedroom and affords incredible sunset views. The tower provides a study for the owners, and natural light pours into the main living space on the first floor through large sliding glass windows, letting the outside in.

Three stories is a long way up when looking at this upper story bedroom deck that overlooks Lake Michigan. The arbor off the kitchen adds a reprieve from the hot summer sun.

The owners of this beachfront retreat wanted a whole-home remodel. They were looking to revitalize their three-story vacation home with an exterior inspired by Japanese woodcraft and an interior the evokes Scandinavian simplicity. Now, the open kitchen and living room offer an energetic space for the family to congregate while enjoying a 360 degree coastal views. Built-in bunkbeds for six ensure there’s enough sleeping space for visitors, while the outdoor shower makes it easy for beachgoers to rinse off before hitting the deckside hot tub. It was a joy to help make this vision a reality!
