Reconfiguration of a dilapidated bathroom and separate toilet in a Victorian house in Walthamstow village. The original toilet was situated straight off of the landing space and lacked any privacy as it opened onto the landing. The original bathroom was separate from the WC with the entrance at the end of the landing. To get to the rear bedroom meant passing through the bathroom which was not ideal. The layout was reconfigured to create a family bathroom which incorporated a walk-in shower where the original toilet had been and freestanding bath under a large sash window. The new bathroom is slightly slimmer than the original this is to create a short corridor leading to the rear bedroom. The ceiling was removed and the joists exposed to create the feeling of a larger space. A rooflight sits above the walk-in shower and the room is flooded with natural daylight. Hanging plants are hung from the exposed beams bringing nature and a feeling of calm tranquility into the space.

Downstairs master bathroom. The Owners lives are uplifted daily by the beautiful, uncluttered and highly functional spaces that flow effortlessly from one to the next. They can now connect to the natural environment more freely and strongly, and their family relationships are enhanced by both the ease of being and operating together in the social spaces and the increased independence of the private ones.

We gutted and renovated this entire modern Colonial home in Bala Cynwyd, PA. Introduced to the homeowners through the wife’s parents, we updated and expanded the home to create modern, clean spaces for the family. Highlights include converting the attic into completely new third floor bedrooms and a bathroom; a light and bright gray and white kitchen featuring a large island, white quartzite counters and Viking stove and range; a light and airy master bath with a walk-in shower and soaking tub; and a new exercise room in the basement. This lovely guest bath features herringbone tile floor, frameless glass shower enclosure, and marble wall tiles. The espresso stained wood vanity is topped with a quartz countertop, undermount sink and wall mounted faucet.

These clients needed a first-floor shower for their medically-compromised children, so extended the existing powder room into the adjacent mudroom to gain space for the shower. The 3/4 bath is fully accessible, and easy to clean - with a roll-in shower, wall-mounted toilet, and fully tiled floor, chair-rail and shower. The gray wall paint above the white subway tile is both contemporary and calming. Multiple shower heads and wands in the 3'x6' shower provided ample access for assisting their children in the shower. The white furniture-style vanity can be seen from the kitchen area, and ties in with the design style of the rest of the home. The bath is both beautiful and functional. Custom Built home designed to fit on an undesirable lot provided a great opportunity to think outside of the box with creating a large open concept living space with a kitchen, dining room, living room, and sitting area. This space has extra high ceilings with concrete radiant heat flooring and custom IKEA cabinetry throughout. The master suite sits tucked away on one side of the house while the other bedrooms are upstairs with a large flex space, great for a kids play area!

Bathrooms By Oldham were engaged to redesign the parents retreat. Our client had a stunning view of Pittwater and we wanted to capture this from every aspect of the room. We split the bathroom into 3 areas behind a custom super king timber bedhead allowing us to envelope the view and light from each space. The new dressing room did not miss out on all the natural light as we incorporated a full size mirror and skylight. The colour palette of warm grey, marble, timber and white accentuated with pastel pinks and rust made a calm and serene space to escape and enjoy the outside view.
