This full gut renovation included entertainment-friendly designs, custom furniture, and thoughtful decor to create a modern, inviting aesthetic that reflects our clients' unique personalities. In the primary ensuite, a striking tile backsplash adorned with subtle inlay brass detail exudes sophistication. The custom-designed vanity, accentuated by chic brass accents, provides ample storage. This bathroom is harmonious blend of classic and contemporary design elements. The perfect combination of white and neutrals, marble, and organic textures creating a spa-like oasis that exudes timeless sophistication. The misty neutral wallpaper surrounds you to create the serene feeling our client was looking for. The focal point of the bathroom is a luxurious freestanding bathtub, under a statement multi-pendant chandelier draped to enhance the feeling of relaxation and luxury. The white and gray checkered marble floor stays traditional while the organic forms of the lighting and accents play up the organic look. A few carefully chosen decor pieces, such as potted plants or decorative trays, add a touch of greenery and elegance to the space.

Carrara marble subways, Crystal basin, knobs and wall sconce, Brass tapware, Crisp white custom joinery and arched shaving cabinets combined have created a stunning traditional bathroom with plenty of storage and functionality in this compact bathroom.

We planned a thoughtful redesign of this beautiful home while retaining many of the existing features. We wanted this house to feel the immediacy of its environment. So we carried the exterior front entry style into the interiors, too, as a way to bring the beautiful outdoors in. In addition, we added patios to all the bedrooms to make them feel much bigger. Luckily for us, our temperate California climate makes it possible for the patios to be used consistently throughout the year. The original kitchen design did not have exposed beams, but we decided to replicate the motif of the 30" living room beams in the kitchen as well, making it one of our favorite details of the house. To make the kitchen more functional, we added a second island allowing us to separate kitchen tasks. The sink island works as a food prep area, and the bar island is for mail, crafts, and quick snacks. We designed the primary bedroom as a relaxation sanctuary – something we highly recommend to all parents. It features some of our favorite things: a cognac leather reading chair next to a fireplace, Scottish plaid fabrics, a vegetable dye rug, art from our favorite cities, and goofy portraits of the kids. --- Project designed by Courtney Thomas Design in La Cañada. An den beiden Außenwänden sind großzügige Waschplätze entstanden. Mit ihrer weichen Form durchbrechen die Waschschalen die gradlinige Gestaltung und werden so zum Highlight und Blickfang. Stauraum entstand in den Schubladenschränken unter der Waschtisch-Ablage, auf Spiegelschränke verzichteten die Kunden – wieder ganz im Sinne der maximalen Reduktion. Die wandbreiten Spiegel vergrößern die Räume optisch und werfen das Licht der Dachflächenfenster zurück in den Raum. Die Hinterleuchtung verstärkt ihren schwebenden Charakter.
