Tracy, one of our fabulous customers who last year undertook what can only be described as, a colossal home renovation! With the help of her My Bespoke Room designer Milena, Tracy transformed her 1930's doer-upper into a truly jaw-dropping, modern family home. But don't take our word for it, see for yourself...

The clients enquiry was a remodel and refurbish an en suite Bathroom. The client also noted, we may require knocking about some walls or provide options on how to better use existing space. The customer was really driven by having an eclectic look within her space. We worked closely with the customer to propose some very unique tile options. In the master bedroom, we knocked through the modest dressing room space to create a large en suite so that our client could have both a bath and shower in their master space, we worked with easy bathrooms for most of the bathroom finishes. The vanity was the Serena, solid Oak vanity from Tikamoon. The unique patterned tiles within this master en suite were from the Mainzu Ceramica Range from,TILE EXPERT, in the colours, Monza Blu, Duomo Blu & Duomo Blanco, these were directly imported from customs, from Spain to create the unique design, you will see pictured. We created colour charts and renders to help the client visualise her space before picking the final tiles. We discussed many layouts to create the feature bathroom you will see pictured.

The property is a Grade II listed building in a conservation area of special architectural and historic interest. The terrace, of which it is a part, is directly associated with the growth of Brighton as a Regency and Victorian seaside resort. The renovation had to be carried out with this in mind and with discussion with the local historic and planning teams. The client had a clear vision of colours to be used throughout the property which were blues, greens, greys and whites. Delivery of some bathroom fixtures was delayed due to Covid supply issues. This did impact the final deadline but we were able to prioritise works to ensure there were some finished and working bathrooms in the property so the family could still make use of the property whilst we waited for the final pieces to arrive. A survey instructed by the client during his purchase of the property identified a number of areas that required remedial works. These included leaks from the roof, unsafe lath and plaster ceilings (due to water ingress), unsafe balcony from weathering of the balcony timbers and rusting of the railings (not helped by the salt air), severe penetrating damp in the basement rooms. These needed to be remedied before any of the nicer ‘finishing’ works could be started. Coordinating the renovation across 5 floors with a lot of stairs to negotiate was a challenge for the teams. This included carrying heavy baths and vanity units up to the top floor with just a narrow staircase all the way to the top! They had to do shifts to take waste/materials up and down the stairs to preserve their legs! The sheer number of deliveries and items that needed to be stored and kept safe on site was huge (there were 4 bathrooms and a utility room!). As we were working across the entire property we had to be very disciplined with our storage of these items to make sure we kept track of everything and nothing got damaged. This classic and cosy bathroom was a continuation of the luxury vibes from the rest of this client's home. We suggested bringing the mirrors away from the walls slightly and adding LED lights around them to create a beautiful warm glow. Black and gold angled wall lights add additional task lighting which is essential in bathrooms for your daily preening! And the brick feature wall provides texture and warmth amongst vast expanses of marble.

Contemporary bathroom with dark hardwood flooring, floating vanity with a countertop basin on a feature ceramic tiled wall. A modern freestanding bath with a stunning antique brass shower mixer tap sits in front of a window looking out upon the treetops. A spacious shower with gorgeous green marble wall slabs brings a touch of colour to the space. The rosewood parquet floor is the perfect choice for this high-end bathroom.

The client needed an additional shower room upstairs as the only family bathroom was two storeys down in the basement. At first glance, it appeared almost an impossible task. After much consideration, the only way to achieve this was to transform the existing WC by moving a wall and "stealing" a little unused space from the nursery to accommodate the shower and leave enough room for shower and the toilet pan. The corner stack was removed and capped to make room for the vanity. White metro wall tiles and black slate floor, paired with the clean geometric lines of the shower screen made the room appear larger. This effect was further enhanced by a full-height custom mirror wall opposite the mirrored bathroom cabinet. The heated floor was fitted under the modern slate floor tiles for added luxury. Spotlights and soft dimmable cabinet lights were used to create different levels of illumination.

The challenge in this bathroom was the distribution. The space was tight to fit a bath, a walk in shower, two sinks and the toilet. In addition, the large window had to be where it is place since otherwise we would have had overlooking issues. Thus, limiting the choice of movement. A key item to resolve this was the free standing bath and the use of the Crittal panel.

This long narrow shower room took careful planning to fit the required sanitaryware and walk in shower. Designed for two children, so also had to be easy to use. Mirror fitted along the entire wall length to expand the space and fun surf bathroom-appropriate wall mural to opposite wall.
