Making SpacesKids bathrooms and curves.
Toddlers, wet tiles and corners don't mix, so I found ways to add as many soft curves as I could in this kiddies bathroom. The round ended bath was tiled in with fun kit-kat tiles, which echoes the rounded edges of the double vanity unit. Those large format, terrazzo effect porcelain tiles disguise a multitude of sins too.
A lot of clients ask for wall mounted taps for family bathrooms, well let’s face it, they look real nice. But I don’t think they’re particularly family friendly. The levers are higher and harder for small hands to reach and water from dripping fingers can splosh down the wall and onto the top of the vanity, making a right ole mess. Some of you might disagree, but this is what i’ve experienced and I don't rate. So for this bathroom, I went with a pretty bombproof all in one, moulded double sink with no nooks and crannies for water and grime to find their way to.
The double drawers house all of the bits and bobs needed by the sink and by keeping the floor space clear, there’s plenty of room for bath time toys baskets.
The brief: can you design a bathroom suitable for two boys (1 and 4)? So I did. It was fun!
LSP-DesignsShower products can be stored on a recessed shelf in the wall of the shower. Both the floor and the wall are covered with cream ceramic tiles. The accent wall has grey tiles. A hand-held shower is conveniently located for ease of cleaning.

Buzz Interior DesignGround Floor WC and shower room for easy access from main house. Built with ground floor toilet in mind for disabilities, a bathroom for guests but also suitable to wash down dogs in winter months. A mix between elegance and industrial was desired alongside a black & white finish to replicate the external B&W look to the cottage. Again the age of the Victorian property was taken into account with the design but modernised to create a slightly more contemporary look. Marble effect tiles were chosen laid brick stretcher bond on 2 walls with black at the base and a bullnose Border tile creating a dado effect, whilst the main shower area was completed in herringbone. The floor shower screen copied the window style and all products chrome in a traditional style with black handles and a high level toilet. Flooring was slightly off-white so again didn't overly show dog prints with a subtle star to add some pattern. This was replicated in the fabric chosen for blinds using a geometric pattern. Plants again added for splash of colour and outside in.

Revival by DesignWe just love it when a client comes to us and says “I’ve come to you because I want something different, I don’t want a standard bathroom companies design and layout.” For us this is brilliant, because it means we have some creative freedom to design something special.
Having worked with this client before, we knew she liked pattern and colour, specifically William Morris. Keen not to overdo it on William Morris print we considered other designs that might be of a similar look and feel, so we used Lewis and Wood for the powder room and Christopher Farr for the family bathroom, both wonderful wallpapers that offer more of a mural feel.
