DOWNLOAD NOW   This client came to us in a bit of a panic when she realized that she really wanted her bathroom to be updated by March 1st due to having 2 daughters getting married in the spring and one graduating. We were only about 5 months out from that date, but decided we were up for the challenge. The beautiful historical home was built in 1896 by an ornithologist (bird expert), so we took our cues from that as a starting point. The flooring is a vintage basket weave of marble and limestone, the shower walls of the tub shower conversion are clad in subway tile with a vintage feel. The lighting, mirror and plumbing fixtures all have a vintage vibe that feels both fitting and up to date. To give a little of an eclectic feel, we chose a custom green paint color for the linen cabinet, mushroom paint for the ship lap paneling that clads the walls and selected a vintage mirror that ties in the color from the existing door trim. We utilized some antique trim from the home for the wainscot cap for more vintage flavor. The drama in the bathroom comes from the wallpaper and custom shower curtain, both in William Morris’s iconic “Strawberry Thief” print that tells the story of thrushes stealing fruit, so fitting for the home’s history. There is a lot of this pattern in a very small space, so we were careful to make sure the pattern on the wallpaper and shower curtain aligned. A sweet little bird tie back for the shower curtain completes the story... Repenser une salle d’eau vieillissante en une salle de douche moderne et pratique ? Pour imaginer ce nouvel espace, nous avons fait des premières grandes modifications : enlever tous les éléments déjà présents, comme la baignoire encastrée, la douche ou le meuble vasque. Tous ces éléments n’étaient plus du goût de nos clients. Nous avons donc voulu repenser une salle d’eau et nous l’avons réagencé. À la place de l’ancienne baignoire, se trouve maintenant une grande douche à l’italienne. Avec un renfoncement sur tout le long afin d’y entreposer les divers articles de toilettes. D eux patères se trouvent à l’entrée de cette douche, et permettent d’avoir un emplacement proche pour les serviettes de bain. Celles-ci étant directement à la sortie de la douche. À la place de l’ancienne douche, se trouve maintenant un grand placard de rangement. L’ancien agencement en était totalement dépourvu. Celui-ci comporte aussi bien des rangements étagères que des éléments de penderies afin de mettre divers peignoirs ou autres. Nous avons donc maintenant la place de mettre un grand meuble avec doubles vasques faisant 160cm de long. Il est composé de 4 grands tiroirs ainsi que d’un plan vasque en céramique noire mat. Le miroir lumineux apporte une notion de profondeur à cette salle d’eau. Pour ce qui est du design de cette salle d’eau, nous sommes partis sur une ambiance plutôt froide, alliant une verrière noire à un magnifique bleu pétrole. Celui-ci se retrouve aussi bien dans les carreaux de faïence au niveau de la douche que dans une partie de la couleur du mobilier sur mesure. Le fond de douche en carreaux à chevron apporte une texture originale. Tout en faisant gagner en modernité cette salle d’eau.

Der Kunde hat in seiner Wohnung 3 Bäder, die wir alle unterschiedlich gestalten wollten. Das Masterbad haben wir sehr maskulin gestaltet mit schwarzen dreidimensionalen Hexagonfliesen in der Dusche. Der Kunde hat eine Entkalkungsanlage. Eine freistehende Koralle Duschwand wirkt luftig. Im Kontrast dazu die messingfarbenen Armaturen und Duschrinne. Die Dusche hat eine indirekt beleuchtbare Nische, die Nische über dem XXL- Waschbecken ist mit Goldfarbe gestrichen.

En noir et blanc Faisant partie de l’espace nuit de l’appartement de 100m², cette salle de bain à la forme atypique avait besoin d’une touche de modernité et de caractère. À la demande de nos clients, nous lui avons donc offert un relooking dans les règles. La décoration des WC s’est inscrite dans la suite de celle-ci. Travaillée dans un contraste de couleurs actuelles et chics, elle est mise en valeur par des matériaux élégants et contemporains, comme le carrelage effet marbre, le métal noir et le carrelage effet béton anthracite qui s’opposent et se complètes, tout en jouant avec la lumière. La salle de bain se veut sobre, mais graphique avec ses joints noirs, son meuble vasque minimaliste et ses rangements suspendus. Les formes arrondies du miroir et des accessoires, les plantes vertes et les oiseaux, font de cette pièce un lieu de détente et de zénitude pour commencer ou terminer sa journée tout en douceur.

PROJECT BRIEF Having installed a beautiful boutique family bathroom five years ago for our clients including a large walk-in shower with luxurious Bisazza mosaics, Kuche & Bagno were commissioned once again to transform their master en-suite into a soothing space with a spa feel. ​ There was a desperate need to update the en-suite bathroom with the original suite installed some eighteen years old in the coach house style property. The existing en-suite had a real wooden plank floor and half height timber cladding to the walls however the client didn’t use bath for some years as it wasn’t appealing to use especially after new boutique family bathroom was completed while the whole suite was difficult to clean with the amount of natural wood present, especially the floor. It was imperative that the new space would be easy to clean and easy to access. Storage was central to the design and the newly formed stud wall were used to house the wall hung WC frame, the box niches to soften the wall and provide storage as well as the bespoke super-sized mirror cabinets manufactured by Springburn Joinery. The lighting scheme was essential and it was also important to get right colour temperature. The beautiful bathroom chandelier central light fitting gave a softness instead of the norm with stark spotlights while the special feature low level lighting brings a welcome night light along with lights under the basin for midnight trips to the bathroom.
