This full home mid-century remodel project is in an affluent community perched on the hills known for its spectacular views of Los Angeles. Our retired clients were returning to sunny Los Angeles from South Carolina. Amidst the pandemic, they embarked on a two-year-long remodel with us - a heartfelt journey to transform their residence into a personalized sanctuary. Opting for a crisp white interior, we provided the perfect canvas to showcase the couple's legacy art pieces throughout the home. Carefully curating furnishings that complemented rather than competed with their remarkable collection. It's minimalistic and inviting. We created a space where every element resonated with their story, infusing warmth and character into their newly revitalized soulful home.

Our clients for this project were used to renovating properties and had stuck with a tried and tested formula when it came to bathrooms, so our Head of Design, Louise suggested products that were completely out of their comfort zone. She introduced them to a completely different design and concept for the 3 bathrooms. The master en-suite was in the new extension part of the house. It had a small floor space with high vaulted ceiling so needed to ‘ground’ the design, literally! With wanting to maintain the original architectural features of this Turner style property, we wanted to retain a sympathetic nod to the origins of the architects vision – which we did with the use of Crittal shower, matt black brassware and coloured sanitaryware in grey for the basins and wcs which work amazingly well with the houses original metal window frames.

The goal of this project was to upgrade the builder grade finishes and create an ergonomic space that had a contemporary feel. This bathroom transformed from a standard, builder grade bathroom to a contemporary urban oasis. This was one of my favorite projects, I know I say that about most of my projects but this one really took an amazing transformation. By removing the walls surrounding the shower and relocating the toilet it visually opened up the space. Creating a deeper shower allowed for the tub to be incorporated into the wet area. Adding a LED panel in the back of the shower gave the illusion of a depth and created a unique storage ledge. A custom vanity keeps a clean front with different storage options and linear limestone draws the eye towards the stacked stone accent wall. Using light flooring in the form of natural lime stone 12x24 tiles with a linear pattern, it really draws the eye down the length of the room which is what we needed. Then, breaking up the space a little with the stone pebble flooring in the shower, this client enjoyed his time living in Japan and wanted to incorporate some of the elements that he appreciated while living there. The dark stacked stone feature wall behind the tub is the perfect backdrop for the LED panel, giving the illusion of a window and also creates a cool storage shelf for the tub. A narrow, but tasteful, oval freestanding tub fit effortlessly in the back of the shower. With a sloped floor, ensuring no standing water either in the shower floor or behind the tub, every thought went into engineering this Atlanta bathroom to last the test of time. With now adequate space in the shower, there was space for adjacent shower heads controlled by Kohler digital valves. A hand wand was added for use and convenience of cleaning as well. On the vanity are semi-vessel sinks which give the appearance of vessel sinks, but with the added benefit of a deeper, rounded basin to avoid splashing. Wall mounted faucets add sophistication as well as less cleaning maintenance over time. The custom vanity is streamlined with drawers, doors and a pull out for a can or hamper. A wonderful project and equally wonderful client. I really enjoyed working with this client and the creative direction of this project. Il bagno degli ospiti è caratterizzato da un mobile sospeso in cannettato noce Canaletto posto all'interno di una nicchia e di fronte due colonne una a giorno e una chiusa. La doccia è stata posizionata in fondo al bagno per recuperare più spazio possibile. La chicca di questo bagno è sicuramente la tenda della doccia dove abbiamo utilizzato un tessuto impermeabile adatto per queste situazioni. Nach der Umgestaltung entsteht ein barrierefreies Bad mit großformatigen Natursteinfliesen in Kombination mit einer warmen Holzfliese am Boden und einer hinterleuchteten Spanndecke. Besonders im Duschbereich gibt es durch die raumhohen Fliesen fast keine Fugen. Die Dusche kann mit 2 Flügeltüren großzügig breit geöffnet werden und ist so konzipiert, dass sie auch mit einem Rollstuhl befahren werden kann.

Our Pretty in Pink ensuite is a result of what you can create from dead space within a home. Previously, this small space was part of an under utilised master bedroom sun room & hall way cupboard. The brief for this ensuite was to create a trendy bathroom that was soft with a splash of colour that worked cohesively with the grey and blue tonings seen throughout the 60’s home. The challenge was to take a space with no existing plumbing, and an angled wall, and transform it into a beautiful ensuite. Before we could look at the colours and finishes, careful planning was done in conjunction with the plumber and architect for consent. We meticulously worked through the aesthetics of the room by starting with the selection of Grey & White tiles, creating a timeless base to the scheme. The custom-made vanity and the Resene Wafer wall give the space a pop of colour, while the stone top and soft grey basin break up the black tapware.

Who doesn't love a shower niche? This one is completely clad, including the shelf, in the wall tiles. The master tiler has expertly mitred all of the edges giving a finish to be extremely proud of.

Set within a classic 3 story townhouse in Clifton is this stunning ensuite bath and steam room. The brief called for understated luxury, a space to start the day right or relax after a long day. The space drops down from the master bedroom and had a large chimney breast giving challenges and opportunities to our designer. The result speaks for itself, a truly luxurious space with every need considered. His and hers sinks with a book-matched marble slab backdrop act as a dramatic feature revealed as you come down the steps. The steam room with wrap around bench has a built in sound system for the ultimate in relaxation while the freestanding egg bath, surrounded by atmospheric recess lighting, offers a warming embrace at the end of a long day.
