A 1900 sq. ft. family home for five in the heart of the Flatiron District. The family had strong ties to Bali, going continuously yearly. The goal was to provide them with Bali's warmth in the structured and buzzing city that is New York. The space is completely personalized; many pieces are from their collection of Balinese furniture, some of which were repurposed to make pieces like chairs and tables. The rooms called for warm tones and woods that weaved throughout the space through contrasting colors and mixed materials. A space with a story, a magical jungle juxtaposed with the modernism of the city.

Grade II* Listed Medieval Barn Conversion, Cornwall

The Bazeley Partnership

One of the only surviving examples of a 14thC agricultural building of this type in Cornwall, the ancient Grade II*Listed Medieval Tithe Barn had fallen into dereliction and was on the National Buildings at Risk Register. Numerous previous attempts to obtain planning consent had been unsuccessful, but a detailed and sympathetic approach by The Bazeley Partnership secured the support of English Heritage, thereby enabling this important building to begin a new chapter as a stunning, unique home designed for modern-day living. A key element of the conversion was the insertion of a contemporary glazed extension which provides a bridge between the older and newer parts of the building. The finished accommodation includes bespoke features such as a new staircase and kitchen and offers an extraordinary blend of old and new in an idyllic location overlooking the Cornish coast. This complex project required working with traditional building materials and the majority of the stone, timber and slate found on site was utilised in the reconstruction of the barn. Since completion, the project has been featured in various national and local magazines, as well as being shown on Homes by the Sea on More4. The project won the prestigious Cornish Buildings Group Main Award for ‘Maer Barn, 14th Century Grade II* Listed Tithe Barn Conversion to Family Dwelling’.

Les clients ont fait l’acquisition d’une maison de maître sur un vaste terrain dans la campagne d’Arpajon. Mal entretenue par les précédents propriétaires, cette maison bourgeoise présentait une disposition intérieure très cloisonnée. Le projet consistait à redonner de l’éclat à cette maison bourgeoise et la moderniser en révélant ses volumes intérieurs généreux. Les pierres en façade ont été nettoyées et rejointoyées, beaucoup de cloisonnements intérieurs ont été supprimées et les sols en tommettes ont été restaurés. Grâce au réaménagement des espaces, la cuisine s’ouvre désormais sur la salle à manger par l’installation d’une verrière de style industriel. Suite à l’ouverture d’un mur porteur, le séjour bénéfice quant à lui d’un espace généreux et profite de la lumière naturelle en profusion tout au long de la journée grâce à une double orientation. Le sol du dégagement en haut de l’escalier, reconstitué en verre au dessus de la poutre existante conservée, confère à l’entrée sombre davantage de lumière. Les fermes au premier étage sont révélées, apportant du caractère à la suite parentale ainsi qu’une belle hauteur sous plafond. Coaching Déco - Maison Familiale Charentillaise

Décoration intérieure partielle d’une maison de 170m2 qui était auparavant une bibliothèque se trouvant dans le centre de Charentilly. Suite à l’achat de la dernière partie de cette ancienne bibliothèque, les clients ont pu finir d’aménager la dernière partie des « combles » pour regrouper les enfants à l’étage, afin de récupérer l’ancienne chambre du petit dernier au rez-de-chaussée. Le but était de réorganiser l’entrée, d’y ajouter des rangements et de créer un espace bureau que j’ai suggéré sous l’escalier, redécorer leur chambre qui était anciennement à leur fils, décorer les toilettes et redonner la fonction de salle d’eau qui servait de débarras en y intégrant une partie buanderie. Les clients étant à court d’idées et perdus parmi plusieurs styles déco qu’ils aimaient chacun de leurs côtés, ils ont donc décidé de faire appel à mes services pour y trouver les solutions attendues et trouver les styles de décorations qui leurs correspondent à tous les deux. Je vous laisse découvrir la nouvelle histoire que nous avons écrite pour cette maison de famille qui était anciennement la bibliothèque de Charentilly. Les clients finissent progressivement les travaux.

浴室リフォームのデザイン、レイアウト、費用

浴室リフォームの技法には大きく分けて「在来工法」と「ユニットバス (システムバス)」の2通りがあります。

在来工法：「在来工法」とは、壁、床、窓枠、浴槽などを実際の現場で左官、大工、タイル職人等が作り上げていく技法で、浴室の大きさや形に合わせて自由にレイアウトをデザインできたり、趣のあるタイルで壁を演出することができたりといった点が利点と言えます。昔ながらのこの技法には、費用が高い、工期が長い、年数が経つと水漏れの心配がある、などの注意点があります。
ユニットバス（システムバス）：比較的新しいこの技法は、予め工場で生産されたパーツ (壁、バスタブ、シャワーユニットなど) を現場で組み立てていく技法で、防水性、断熱性に優れ、工期を短縮できるだけでなく、費用も大幅に抑えることができます。在来工法と比べると、デザインやレイアウトの自由度が低い点が欠点としてあげられます。

浴室にプラスアルファでお風呂タイムをもっと楽しく

介護が必要な方には、浴室に浴槽手すりやシャワーチェア、すべり止めマットなどの安全グッズを使って、癒やしの時間を安全にゆっくりと楽しんでもらいましょう。浴室に床暖房を取り入れると、冬場のあのヒンヤリ感がなくなり、ヒートショックの防止に効果が期待できます。大粒のお湯が頭上から降り注ぐように全身を包み込むレインシャワー水栓は、効率的に身体を温めてくれます。また最近では、浴室テレビを装備して、あたたかいお湯に浸かりながらテレビ番組や映画を楽しむ方も増えています。ライフスタイルにあわせて、浴室をカスタマイズしてみてはいかがでしょうか？

ラクラク片付け、快適な浴室！

シャンプーやコンディショナーのボトルや、浴槽洗いのブラシは、ワイヤーラック、つっぱりコーナーラック、吸盤シェルフなど壁面収納グッズを活用して、浴室の使いやすい場所に設置しましょう。ボディスポンジなど、肌に触れるものはお掃除グッズから離れた場所に置き、しっかり水切りができるよう吸盤フックなどにかけるといいでしょう。また、浴室内には必要なアイテムだけをセレクトして置き、余分なモノは浴室外の脱衣所の棚に保管するなどの工夫も、お風呂場を清潔に保つコツです。風呂ふたも、フックやスタンド等を使って収納し、しっかり乾燥させれば、カビやぬめりの発生を防ぐことができます。

ホテルのようなバスルームをつくるコツ

ホテルライクなバスルームに誰しもが憧れたことがあるでしょう。すっきりとした収納、余計なものやプライベート感がない、トイレとバスが一緒の三点ユニットでも清潔感があるのがホテルのバスルームの特徴です。このようなシンプルな印象のバスルームにするコツは、収納をできるかぎり1カ所にまとめるということです。タオルや着替え、トイレットペーパーや洗剤など溢れがち (しかもバスルームに置きがち) な日用品のストックは、必要分だけをコンパクトに整理して、同素材や同系色の収納ボックスやラックにまとめることで、全体を統一感ある印象に見せます。ところで、このようなホテルライクなバスルームはアメリカのバスルームが元になっていますが、アメリカの Houzz サイトの特集記事 (Story) には、“Bathroom 1 1/2” や “Bathroom 3/4” などと表記されているものがあります。これは、バスルームを「バスタブ」、「シャワー」、「トイレ」、「洗面台」の4つ分けて、それぞれ 1/4 と考え、4つすべてある場合は ”Bathroom 1”、それに加えてトイレと洗面台がもう1カ所ずつある場合は “Bathroom 1 1/2”、シャワー、トイレ、洗面台だけでバスタブがない場合は “Bathroom 3/4” のように表現されます。
