The design plays off of the many different elements of water, represented through the color palette, textiles, fixtures, artwork and even in the ceiling detail. This bathroom, we kept it kid friendly, while still maintaining a sophisticated elegance about the design.

Historic Home: master suite remodel

Upper half of walls painted hale navy blue from Benjamin Moore’s historical colors line // Tall panel was built to give privacy to the toilet // Added a full height mirror to the privacy wall // Added LED rope lighting for a night light // Bathroom features all LED lights. All lights are on dimmers yet correct to the period of the house. // Photo shows relocated door which leads from bathroom into bedroom. Door on left (with robe) leads to his suit closet. // Original doors were painted, rehung and new hardware installed

We removed a wall between the former tiny bath and small closet/office spaces. // Solved clients needs by combining two small rooms which made enough space for a shareable master bathroom // Large vanity sits behind fireplace in bedroom // Custom made mirror and frame by request of client. Custom under-wall-mirror LED lighting for btahroom night light.

Husband asked for a pedestal sink for his space. The pedestal sink is modern size with a heritage style // Wife asked for a custom-built vanity furniture style. Features 6 drawers and Super White quartzite top // As requested: 2 sinks allow them to use the same bathroom. Medicine cabinet with mirror is built into the wall to provide storage.

Client asked for marble floors in a basketweave pattern which mimic floors they love in a historic hotel in Washington D.C. // We delivered this basketweave and bardiglio gray marble tile that was not easy to supply // My client requested a specific shade for the bardiglio dot in the floor; our tile supplier fabricated this basketweave to meet their request. // The floor also features a bardiglio border cut on site by our tile setter.
