When we first saw these two bathrooms, they were in need of a major update. They were stuck in the ’80’s with pot light bulkheads over the vanities, sliding glass door shower/tub and very little storage. We created a calm and subtle beachy vibe in the main bathroom with new floor tile, an updated double vanity and a huge round mirror to reflect light. We also added a touch of deep teal to the ceiling as an unexpected design element. In the ensuite, we stayed classic with a black and white palette. The old combination tub/shower was converted to a full glass walk-in shower, and a beautiful herringbone pattern for the black floor tile was carried right through into the shower. We also carved out a bit of much needed storage with a wall niche next to the vanity.

Custom bathroom with gold accents. Very warm neutral colors were used to create an oasis feel complete with half glass shower door for a modern feel. The baseboard was removed and radiant heat was installed to give the bathroom a more cleaner look.

Our design intent for both bathrooms was to create a contemporary, clean look that matched the high-rise unit. For the Guest Bathroom, we carefully chose a shower tile that had a variation with different white and grey hues that not only ties in with the rest of the finishes but also further enhances movement and when flipped vertically, gives the impression of a taller shower. This bathroom was created for a young family. The bi-fold screen can fold completely flat against the end of the bath without snagging on the fixed shower head. This approach allows full access to the bath when kneeling next to the bath attending to small children with easy access to the bath/shower valve and the hand shower. The recessed shelves provide plenty of room for toys and bottles. Also works very well when mum just wants a nice soak!

In our recent guest bathroom remodel, luxury and style collide effortlessly. The main focal wall of the shower comes alive with striking vertical emerald green subway tiles, adding a vibrant and invigorating touch. Inside the shower, a convenient soap niche continues the tile motif. The centerpiece of the bathroom is a freestanding white porcelain tub, its elegance emphasized by a partial glass door enclosure with brushed gold fixtures and accents that lend an opulent feel to the space. The vanity area boasts a pristine white quartz countertop, providing a clean and inviting workspace. Completing the ambiance is a backlit mirror, casting a warm and inviting glow. This guest bathroom renovation effortlessly marries bold design elements with a sense of relaxation and sophistication.

This bathroom was a must for the homeowners of this 100 year old home. Having only 1 bathroom in the entire home and a growing family, things were getting a little tight. This bathroom was part of a basement renovation which ended up giving the homeowners 14” worth of extra headroom. The concrete slab is sitting on 2” of XPS. This keeps the heat from the heated floor in the bathroom instead of heating the ground and it’s covered with hand painted cement tiles. Sleek wall tiles keep everything clean looking and the niche gives you the storage you need in the shower. Custom cabinetry was fabricated and the cabinet in the wall beside the tub has a removal back in order to access the sewage pump under the stairs if ever needed. The main trunk for the high efficiency furnace also had to run over the bathtub which lead to more creative thinking. A custom box was created inside the duct work in order to allow room for an LED potlight. The seat to the toilet has a built in child seat for all the little ones who use this bathroom, the baseboard is a custom 3 piece baseboard to match the existing and the door knob was sourced to keep the classic transitional look as well. Needless to say, creativity and finesse was a must to bring this bathroom to reality. Although this bathroom did not come easy, it was worth every minute and a complete success in the eyes of our team and the homeowners. An outstanding team effort. Leon T.
