This ocean theme tiled bathroom is the en suite bath for the massive 700 sq. ft. bunk/media/game room at Deja View Villa, a Caribbean vacation rental in St. John USVI. Tile resembling a sandy beach going into the deep blue of Caribbean water was custom hand built one square foot at a time by Susan Jablon Mosaics in New York. Her unique, original mosaics were just what we were looking for to create this dramatic beach theme bathroom! Tongue and groove cypress is used on the ceiling and 96" long floating, mahogany, shaker style cabinets are used to provide lots of storage and counter top space. The goal of this project was to upgrade the builder grade finishes and create an ergonomic space that had a contemporary feel. This bathroom transformed from a standard, builder grade bathroom to a contemporary urban oasis. This was one of my favorite projects, I know I say that about most of my projects but this one really took an amazing transformation. By removing the walls surrounding the shower and relocating the toilet it visually opened up the space. Creating a deeper shower allowed for the tub to be incorporated into the wet area. Adding a LED panel in the back of the shower gave the illusion of a depth and created a unique storage ledge. A custom vanity keeps a clean front with different storage options and linear limestone draws the eye towards the stacked stone accent wall. Using light flooring in the form of natural lime stone 12x24 tiles with a linear pattern, it really draws the eye down the length of the room which is what we needed. Then, breaking up the space a little with the stone pebble flooring in the shower, this client enjoyed his time living in Japan and wanted to incorporate some of the elements that he appreciated while living there. The dark stacked stone feature wall behind the tub is the perfect backdrop for the LED panel, giving the illusion of a window and also creates a cool storage shelf for the tub. A narrow, but tasteful, oval freestanding tub fit effortlessly in the back of the shower. With a sloped floor, ensuring no standing water either in the shower floor or behind the tub, every thought went into engineering this Atlanta bathroom to last the test of time. With now adequate space in the shower, there was space for adjacent shower heads controlled by Kohler digital valves. A hand wand was added for use and convenience of cleaning as well. On the vanity are semi-vessel sinks which give the appearance of vessel sinks, but with the added benefit of a deeper, rounded basin to avoid splashing. Wall mounted faucets add sophistication as well as less cleaning maintenance over time. The custom vanity is streamlined with drawers, doors and a pull out for a can or hamper. A wonderful project and equally wonderful client. I really enjoyed working with this client and the creative direction of this project. Stoneunlimited Kitchen and Bath can help you design and renovate your bathroom into a seaside oasis that will hold you over until the next time you're able to feel sand between your toes and salty water in your hair. Our Client's desire for their master bathroom was to create a beachy feel that they could enjoy year round and we were more than happy to facilitate the transformation. The Alaskan White Granite tops mimic the look of wet sand providing contrast to the Waypoint Shaker Style cabinets and storage tower. 3"x17" Porcelain Planks in Vintage Gray add a wood component that is key to any coastal bathroom design and resemble the color of aged board walks and fishing piers. Pebbles in the tub surround, shower accent band and shower floor are similar to ones that can be found on many popular beaches. The decorative details that our client selected for the room such as mermaid dispensers, shells, and beautiful vibrant art work were the perfect touch. Ample storage space and some privacy to the exposed toilet were needed. The 12" deep tower provides two cabinet pull outs for toiletries and other necessities as well as an 18"x18" cabinet on the top with crown molding finishes and an additional pull out cabinet at the bottom of the tower. Partial privacy for the lavatory was achieved by installing a 45"x29" glass panel. The North bathroom features Rex Roy Studio solar yellow ceramic tile by Modwalls, a custom vanity, marble countertop with knife-edge detail, and Axor Bouroullec faucets.

This master bathroom doubled in size. We took over an adjacent closet to make room for the large, curbless shower. The free-standing tub is a beautiful focal point with wall-mounted tub filler and a custom piece of artwork displayed above it.

Custom Wood-Mode cabinets and custom-framed mirrors provide a light and bright feel to the master bath. The Vanguard vanity bench and traces of crystal add a feminine touch.
