High end, luxury finishes, a free standing tub, make up area with lighted mirror & an incredible walk in shower create an elegant and beautiful primary bath suite! With matte black faucets & hardware, white Shaker cabinets, gorgeous marble, quartz counters and lots of fun details, we created a welcoming space for the clients…including a private coffee bar and how about the his & hers closets?

An open concept was among the priorities for the renovation of this split-level St Lambert home. The interiors were stripped, walls removed and windows condemned. The new floor plan created generous sized living spaces that are complemented by low profile and minimal furnishings. The kitchen is a bold statement featuring deep navy matte cabinetry and soft grey quartz counters. The 14’ island was designed to resemble a piece of furniture and is the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee or entertain large gatherings. Practical storage needs are accommodated in full height towers with flat panel doors. The modern design of the solarium creates a panoramic view to the lower patio and swimming pool. The challenge to incorporate storage in the adjacent living room was solved by juxtaposing the dramatic dark kitchen millwork with white built-ins and open wood shelving. The tiny 25sf master ensuite includes a custom quartz vanity with an integrated double sink. Neutral and organic materials maintain a pure and calm atmosphere.

The layout of the master bathroom was created to be perfectly symmetrical which allowed us to incorporate his and hers areas within the same space. The bathtub crates a focal point seen from the hallway through custom designed louvered double door and the shower seen through the glass towards the back of the bathroom enhances the size of the space. Wet areas of the floor are finished in honed marble tiles and the entire floor was treated with any slip solution to ensure safety of the homeowners. The white marble background give the bathroom a light and feminine backdrop for the contrasting dark millwork adding energy to the space and giving it a complimentary masculine presence. Storage is maximized by incorporating the two tall wood towers on either side of each vanity – it provides ample space needed in the bathroom and it is only 12” deep which allows you to find things easier that in traditional 24” deep cabinetry. Manmade quartz countertops are a functional and smart choice for white counters, especially on the make-up vanity. Vanities are cantilevered over the floor finished in natural white marble with soft organic pattern allow for full appreciation of the beauty of nature. This home has a lot of inside/outside references, and even in this bathroom, the large window located inside the steam shower uses electrochromic glass (“smart” glass) which changes from clear to opaque at the push of a button. It is a simple, convenient, and totally functional solution in a bathroom. The center of this bathroom is a freestanding tub identifying his and hers side and it is set in front of full height clear glass shower enclosure allowing the beauty of stone to continue uninterrupted onto the shower walls. The homeowners' dreamed of an Ofuro style soaking tub. We worked together to make that a reality. Our employees custom milled a surround of Ofuro cedar for the soaking tub. The steps are removable for cleaning and to lessen the occurrence of trapped moisture. The tiled shower is sloped towards a curtain drain. The shower boasts a tiled bench, niche and wand with a rain shower head.

The custom built vanity is wall-mounted (floating) with a 3 inch thick mitered countertop edge. The shower glass is mounted using U-channels rather than clamps to create a cleaner, seamless look. The shower tile continues outside the shower and runs around the vanity and the mirror. The mirror is mounted on plywood and thus appears to float above the tile.
