Compact Master Retreat in Odenton

This Odenton, MD master bathroom design fits storage, style, and a highly functional layout into a compact space. The HomeCrest maple Sedona style vanity cabinet in a willow gray finish fits neatly into an alcove and offers ample storage and space for two people to get ready. The vanity is topped by a Calacatta Vicenza Q Quartz countertop with two Kohler Archer sinks, and Mirabelle Provincetown single hole sink faucets. The corner shower has a custom glass shower enclosure with a built in shower bench and three stainless shower shelves that provide storage for key toiletries. The shower has a Delta In2ition 2-in-1 multi-function wall-mounted handheld showerhead and Mirabelle shower valve and thermostatic valve. Tile creates a soothing setting in this shower design with Sande Gray 12 x 24 tile by MSI wall tile and shaved black stone sheet shower floor tile, adding to the soothing spa-style atmosphere in the bath design. The bathroom floor is Dimensions by MSI 12 x 24 graphite tile. Two Kohler Archer single door frameless mirrored medicine cabinets offer additional storage, and Mirabelle Provincetown towel rings provide space to hang up towels.

This bathroom remodel in Fulton, Missouri started out by removing sheetrock, old wallpaper and flooring, taking the bathroom nearly down to the studs before its renovation. Then the Dimensions In Wood team laid ceramic tile flooring throughout. A fully glassed-in, walk-in Onyx base shower was installed with a handheld shower sprayer, a handicap-accessible, safety grab bar, and small shower seat. Decorative accent glass tiles add an attractive element to the floor-to-ceiling shower tile, and also extend inside the two shelf shower niche. A full bathtub still gives the home owners the option for a shower or a soak. The single sink vanity has a Taj Mahal countertop which is a quartzite that resembles Italian Calacatta marble in appearance, but is much harder and more durable. Custom cabinets provide ample storage and the wall is protected by a glass tile backsplash which matches the shower. Recessed can lights installed in the ceiling keep the bathroom bright, in connection with the mirror mounted sconces. Chic Modern Retro Lincoln Park Bathroom

This was a remodeling of an existing powder room. It has a retro modern look. We used penny tile to cover the main wall along with two wall sconces for main lighting. We used a floating vanity and added under cabinet lighting to create a dramatic look reminiscent of a high end hotel. The vessel sink was sourced from Etsy and is made from linen colored concrete. All fixtures are polished chrome to add extra flair.

A small marbled octagon tile was selected for the flooring and subway tile for a new shower. This home had a very small bathroom for the combined use of their teenagers and guests. The space was a tight 5'x7'. By adding just 2 feet by taking the space from the closet in an adjoining room, we were able to make this bathroom more functional and feel much more spacious. The show-stopper is the glass and metal mosaic wall tile above the vanity. The chevron tile in the shower niche complements the wall tile nicely, while having plenty of style on its own. To tie everything together, we continued the same tile from the shower all around the room to create a wainscot. The weathered-look hexagon floor tile is stylish yet subtle. We chose to use a heavily frosted door to keep the room feeling lighter and more spacious. Often when you have a lot of elements that can totally stand on their own, it can overwhelm a space. However, in this case everything complements the other. The style is fun and stylish for the every-day use of teenagers and young adults, while still being sophisticated enough for use by guests.

在来工法：「在来工法」とは、壁、床、窓枠、浴槽などを実際の現場で左官、大工、タイル職人等が作り上げていく技法で、浴室の大きさや形に合わせて自由にレイアウトをデザインできたり、趣のあるタイルで壁を演出することができたりといった点が利点と言えます。昔ながらのこの技法には、費用が高い、工期が長い、年数が経つと水漏れの心配がある、などの注意点があります。
ユニットバス（システムバス）：比較的新しいこの技法は、予め工場で生産されたパーツ (壁、バスタブ、シャワーユニットなど) を現場で組み立てていく技法で、防水性、断熱性に優れ、工期を短縮できるだけでなく、費用も大幅に抑えることができます。在来工法と比べると、デザインやレイアウトの自由度が低い点が欠点としてあげられます。

浴室にプラスアルファでお風呂タイムをもっと楽しく

介護が必要な方には、浴室に浴槽手すりやシャワーチェア、すべり止めマットなどの安全グッズを使って、癒やしの時間を安全にゆっくりと楽しんでもらいましょう。浴室に床暖房を取り入れると、冬場のあのヒンヤリ感がなくなり、ヒートショックの防止に効果が期待できます。大粒のお湯が頭上から降り注ぐように全身を包み込むレインシャワー水栓は、効率的に身体を温めてくれます。また最近では、浴室テレビを装備して、あたたかいお湯に浸かりながらテレビ番組や映画を楽しむ方も増えています。ライフスタイルにあわせて、浴室をカスタマイズしてみてはいかがでしょうか？

ホテルライクなバスルームに誰しもが憧れたことがあるでしょう。すっきりとした収納、余計なものやプライベート感がない、トイレとバスが一緒の三点ユニットでも清潔感があるのがホテルのバスルームの特徴です。このようなシンプルな印象のバスルームにするコツは、収納をできるかぎり1カ所にまとめるということです。タオルや着替え、トイレットペーパーや洗剤など溢れがち (しかもバスルームに置きがち) な日用品のストックは、必要分だけをコンパクトに整理して、同素材や同系色の収納ボックスやラックにまとめることで、全体を統一感ある印象に見せます。ところで、このようなホテルライクなバスルームはアメリカのバスルームが元になっていますが、アメリカの Houzz サイトの特集記事 (Story) には、“Bathroom 1 1/2” や “Bathroom 3/4” などと表記されているものがあります。これは、バスルームを「バスタブ」、「シャワー」、「トイレ」、「洗面台」の4つ分けて、それぞれ 1/4 と考え、4つすべてある場合は ”Bathroom 1”、それに加えてトイレと洗面台がもう1カ所ずつある場合は “Bathroom 1 1/2”、シャワー、トイレ、洗面台だけでバスタブがない場合は “Bathroom 3/4” のように表現されます。
