“Nous avons fait appel aux services de Rita Ghoche à l'automne après avoir hésité sur la question: 'prenons nous un architecte ou un désigner de maison?' Avec de très bons arguments , nous avons accepté de payer un peu plus pour avoir beaucoup plus. Nous ne regrettons en rien notre choix. Elle nous est arrivée avec de très bonnes idées, trois choix de plans de maison. Un, nous plaisait plus que les deux autres pour différentes raisons. Elle a bien cerné nos désirs , après nous avoir demandé ce que l'on voulait vraiment et lui montrant des photos en exemple de votre site Houzz , elle a bien visualisé nos goûts. Notre projet est toujours en cours, on prévoit y entrer à l'automne. Inutile de vous dire que nous avons bien hâte d'habiter notre maison de rêve, rien de moins. Je vous la recommande fortement si vous voulez habiter votre maison de rêve.”

“10/10+ Fin 2019-début 2020, Veronique Geoffroy nous a offert un service exceptionnel de design, de gestion de travaux de rénovation (notamment l'identification de matériaux haut de gamme à prix des prix très compétitifs) et de staging liés à la vente de notre maison. Services impeccables et très attentionnés, et conseils des plus judicieux. Le tout a résulter en un effet "wow" des plus impressionnants nous ayant permis de vendre notre propriété en une journée (offres multiples avec surenchères) et $15,000 au-delà du prix estimé par notre agente immobilière (une première pour notre agence pour ce secteur de Gatineau). Je recommande très fortement les services de Veronique et prévoit refaire appel à ses services pour la rénovation et le redesign de notre condo à Ottawa.”

“Exemplary. That is the best way to describe how Andrew and Sophie managed our entirely new garage roof and interior of garage renovation. From a great design with innovative ideas right through getting Permits from the City to working with and even arranging craftsmen as well as selecting and purchasing high quality deck furniture. A totally professional turn key job. High end with down to earth sensibility and politeness and SERVICE. We have done three total home renovations and we have not come across better!! 建築家とは、建築物（住宅）やその周りの空間（外構）を、法律を遵守した形で設計する専門家です。建築物の外観、内部構造、機能性、美学を考慮し、クライアントの要望を実現します。また、実際に工事がはじまると、図面どおりに建築されているかなど、施工の監督管理も行います。
建築士は国家資格で、建築士試験に合格して登録した人が名乗ることができます。一級建築士、二級建築士、木造建築士の3種類があります。一方、建築家は特に資格はなく、「建築や設計に携わっている人」として自称できます。
建築家の料金はプロジェクトの規模や複雑さによって異なります。通常、建設予算の一定の割合（通常は10〜20％）が建築家の料金として考えられます。
プロジェクトの規模や複雑さにより異なりますが、一般的には数週間から数ヶ月かかります。複雑なプロジェクトはさらに時間がかかることがあります。
設計変更は可能ですが、タイミングや変更の内容によって追加料金が発生することがあります。変更が計画初期に行われることが理想的です。

「建築家」と「建築士」は別の意味として区別されることが多いようです。では、その違いは何でしょう？

建築士は、一級建築士、二級建築士および木造建築士に分類されます。これらは国土交通省が制定した国家資格の名称で、各資格により設計・監理できる建物の規模や種類が異なります。試験に受かった人に与えられる資格であるため、例えば工務店やハウスメーカーに勤務する人、さらには建築家として活躍する人の中にも、建築士の資格を有する人は存在します。

一方、建築家は、建物の設計や工事の監理などを職業とする人のことを指します。建築家になるために資格は必要ありません。建築家は特に空間づくりに対する美的センスが高く、デザインに強くこだわりを持つ人が多いようです。また、建築家は施工会社から独立した立場にあることが多いため、設計における制約がないのも特徴と言えます。
