Giorgia Zanellato and Daniele Bortotto begin their studies in Venice, at IUAV University. Their friendship borns, however, in Lausanne, Switzerland, where they both attend a Master degree in Product Design at ECAL. Here they start to being triggered by the desire to work together, a desire which is realized just few years later and many experiences carried out in an independent manner. Giorgia continues her work at Fabrica, Benetton Research Center, while Daniele works for Swiss designer Adrien Rovero. The big break arrives in 2013, on the occasion of the Salone del Mobile in Milan, where the two present the Acqua Alta Collection at Salone Satellite. The project stands out right away, starting the engagement in a long and accurate research that continues today. The big interest in the project gives the opportunity to Zanellato/Bortotto to work with some of the most important realities from their territory, and collaborate with local artisans that give life to the products. At the same time they have the great chance to work with established companies such as Rubelli and Moroso with whom they create “La Serenissima”, presented at Salone Internazionale del Mobile in 2014. Today Giorgia and Daniele count several collaborations with Italian and international brands like Petite Friture, Galleria Luisa delle Piane, Camper. Their works have been exhibited in galleries and museums such as MUDAM Luxembourg , Design Miami, MAXXI, Triennale Design Museum, Villa Noailles, Poldi Pezzoli Museum.
