We had the pleasure of working with White Elk Interiors on a new build that began with an initial information gathering session with Janice and continued over the course of a year + to project completion. Her guidance and eye for detail in creating the look and feel of our new home were spot-on. Janice provides so much more than (great) direction on furnishings, fittings and colourways, both interior and exterior. Her attention to micro and macro detail was indispensable. She developed detailed schedules and plans for electrical placement, tiling and more that that kept us and our trades on the same page. She worked effectively with trades, and her communication was always prompt and clear. A new build encompasses a mountain of details and decisions that inevitably leads to periodic decision fatigue. Janice recognized these moments and stepped in to provide clarity and curated options to make the decision making easier. She was also in tune with those times when we needed to change course based on budget or personal reasons and remained realistic and practical in her approach. Janice is a super-organized record-keeper – critical in those inevitable moments of losing the plot! (We quite regularly looked at each other and said “thank goodness for Janice.”) A question she asked early in the process is how do you want people to feel when they walk into your home? That’s such an important question that goes beyond how do you want it to look. We love our new home ‑ how it looks and feels, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend White Elk Interiors.

I hired White Elk Interiors in Fall 2020 to consult on the interior design for my home transformation. I could not be more pleased with the outcome. Janice helped us design our beautiful ensuite bathroom and mudroom (for which we got great comments on). I loved her ideas and how she was able to incorporate our needs and requests to the design - while still making the rooms highly functional. The detailed floor plans she prepared made our renovation project very efficient. She is very responsive to any inquiries and emails and is very fun to work with!

We hired White Elk to pick out a few key pieces of furniture as well as light fixtures for our home. We purchased an original 1990’s home that needed a complete update and were overwhelmed, to say the least, with the prospect of the renos. Luckily, we were referred to Janice whom we tasked with reconfiguring two bedrooms to include an en-suite bathroom and closet, respectively, and designing and choosing finishes for the bathrooms and the powder room. She also worked with us on choosing paint colours for the whole house and light fixtures for the kitchen/dining area. We can’t say enough good things about Janice. This was our very first renovation and from the moment we met Janice we knew we were in good hands. She is thorough and attentive and immediately understood the style we were going after was able to deliver everything on time and to our satisfaction. She has also gone above and beyond her tasks in making sure things were moving along with our renos in general in a timely fashion and communicated with us through the process about next steps. She was also always available to us to bounce off ideas about other aspects of our renos. Highly recommend Janice!

I have done multiple residential renovations and never have I been as happy as I am with the renovation done with support from White Elk Interiors. White Elk had all the bases covered for us; the end to end process, from concept to design and ability to work effectively and manage tradespeople. Janice's attention to detail is second to none and her ability to successfully flow a design concept throughout a whole home is exceptional.

We initially got in touch with White Elk hoping to get some advice on flooring and paint colours for a 1969 cottage we had recently purchased, and we have found Janice to be prompt, patient, and professional. Because of how happy we were with her design advice on flooring and paint, we decided to enlist her help in redesigning a small ensuite bathroom attached to a guest room. The bathroom posed a significant genuine design challenge given the small footprint of a custom shower stall that we thought about saving but ultimately decided to replace. Janice's expert guidance allowed us to transform our sad ensuite into a beautiful new bathroom. We have especially appreciated her willingness to work within a limited budget, preserve the integrity of the cottage's MCM design, and prioritize environmentally friendly materials. We intend to continue to work with Janice as we tackle the next phase of our cottage renovation.

We hired Janice at White Elk Interiors to help us with our Master Bathroom Layout. She had great ideas, was quick and lovely to work with. If we had the budget, I would have handed the entire project over to her. Next time!

I hired Janice of White Elk Interiors to assist us with designing of an office space for our accounting practice. It was a real challenge as we were moving from a larger rented space into a smaller space that we purchased, but Janice provided us with a plan that proved very functional and creative to fit our office into. We couldn't be happier. Janice is very easy to work with, as well as extremely knowledgeable. It was such an easy process and all our beginning stresses about moving into a smaller space were eliminated with Janice's amazing suggestions.
