Welby Construction Management

I worked with Welby Construction Management on two renovation projects for HGTV (Home & Garden Television Network) that were filmed here in San Diego. As the shows Interior Designer, I worked closely the owner, Ed Welby and his right hand, Yesenia. They graciously helped me navigate the areas of construction that were out of my normal scope of work. I enjoyed collaborating with the entire Welby Construction Management team and each project turned out beautifully!

Ed, the owner, came out with his associate, Jesse, for an estimate on our home addition project. When Ed was at the house, he was very professional, friendly, and offered some good ideas for what we are looking to do. We gave him a sketch of our ideas and he said he would have his team look it over. He also said he would get back to us in a weeks time with an estimate of what we plan to do. Well, its been over two weeks. I sent a few emails and phone call. Nothing from anyone in his company. I understand not every project is suitable for a company. But at least have the courtesy to call us back and let us know you do not want to work with us. It is not fair to leave us hanging with no communication whatsoever. Poor follow through.

We had an old, outdated bathroom and bedroom in our home that was an eyesore. After consulting with several different companies we decided to use Ed Welby and his team for the remodel. Ed was incredibly upfront and was available to answer any and all questions we had. All of the staff at WCM were unbelievably professional and completed all work on time, despite some adjustments we decided to make mid-remodel, all while staying within our budget! Since our remodel I have recommended Ed and the guys at WCM to two friends and both of them received the same high caliber treatment that we did. I would highly recommend Welby Construction Management to anyone who wants the peace of mind of knowing the job will be done professionally and will look exactly how you want it!

Welby Construction Management is value. It is the best value around. I normally do not write reviews, but I had to write one for Welby because the world needs to know how great they are. We did some significant remodeling to our 1921 home that included adding a full bathroom. This entailed moving walls around, building a laundry closet, building a clothing closet, not to mention the actual bathroom itself. The end product is beautiful and stunning. They surpassed my expectations in every way. The job was so good that we hired them again to redo our backyard. Again, the end product is spectacular and surpassed my expectations. One of the best things about Welby Construction Management is Ed Welby (the president) and the team he has carefully put together. Ed is conscientious and takes great pride in his work. His prices are extremely reasonable and you get a tremendous end product that is not cheaply done at all. It is good quality work at a fair price. In addition to have a great work ethic, a great product and a great value, Welby ALWAYS finished when he said they would complete the project - there were NEVER any delays or unforeseen issues. He always ended right where his estimate was - there were never any surprise costs or extras, we always know where we stand with him financially. He will always communicate with you, even if it takes him a little while to get back to you. And finally, his workers were respectful and clean. After every project, there was never a mess or any new issues to deal with. In short, Ed Welby and his company is top notch. He is honest, has integrity and is highly skilled. It doesn't get any better!
