Yankee Electric Construction Co. Inc. was founded in 1975 by Raymond Barry and Gary Kopsco. Throughout its twenty-five years, Yankee Electric has grown to include three full time office employees and fifteen full time electricians. Yankee Electric operates out of a 7,500 square foot space in Fairfield, CT, which includes their offices, shop, and warehouse. Yankee Electric is a broad based electrical contracting company whose present projects consist of 50% residential, 40% commercial, and 10% maintenance work. Yankee Electric specializes in high end residential projects which include emergency generators, computerized lighting systems, and whole house surge protection systems. Yankee Electric also completes many office interior tenant renovations and fit-ups and fully operational data centers for internet based companies which include emergency generators, UPS systems, computer room air conditioning, and raised and non-raised floor systems. Yankee Electric has also completed projects in landscape and site lighting, sports field lighting, public bidding and maintenance work, and roadway lighting. Yankee Electric is a certified Kohler generator dealer. Yankee Electric also sells Leibert UPS systems, Litetouch computerized lighting control systems, and Lutron dimming systems.
