Chrissy was incredibly creative, resourceful and friendly while she helped when we moved into our new house. She expertly handled how we could use our existing pieces, add in new items like light fixtures and furniture and helped solve issues like storage throughout the place. We had the pleasure of working with Chrissy who completely transformed our house, infusing it with a unique and sophisticated style. She was not only our designer but also project managed our overall reno, from building works, re-doing the water infrastructure/plumbing, electricity to interior design, furniture selection and styling. Chrissy Yu is a talented, dedicated and brilliant interior designer. I have recommended her to friends, and would recommend her to anyone looking to make their home beautiful, contemporary and unique. We met Chrissy in February 2022 after having purchased a house in Hampstead that needed a lot of cosmetic work. After interviewing several designers and firms we trusted our instincts and hired Chrissy immediately. From our first meeting she was detailed oriented, listened carefully, shared her opinions thoughtfully and helped us create a home our family loves. She was incredibly responsive from the start, and helped me envision what our house could be. She managed our project from inception to finish, from sourcing contractors to creating beautiful spaces with intention and purpose, to the very last details of accessorizing and personalizing every room. Chrissy dedicated herself to our project, and our family, and we feel so grateful to have met and worked with her. She has an incredible vision and built up so much trust in us, that we ultimately expanded our project to include the whole house and gave her autonomy to make decisions and advise us on every decision. We value her style, her vision and her talent. After having previously worked with four interior designers on projects of similar scale we feel strongly that Chrissy is the perfect match for us in process, execution, style and aesthetic. She creates stunning spaces, that are functional, beautiful and distinct. Her use and blend of textures, patterns and materials is an art and we are so grateful for all she has done for us. Our project is complete, but we will continue our relationship with Chrissy and consult with her, as we feel she truly understands our tastes, lifestyle and personalities.

I would highly recommend Chrissy to anyone looking to revamp their home. Chrissy is incredibly personable and truly listened to what I was trying to achieve without imposing her own style on me. I didn’t have huge budgets to work with but that didn’t matter as Chrissy is creative and finds a way to work with you that makes financial sense for both parties. She works very quickly and efficiently to create mood boards and finds solutions to meet budget/room restrictions. I was hugely impressed with what she came up with for revamping our living room and bedrooms. It’s not something I would have come up with myself and she has a great eye for things. Her approachability and kindness (she seems to keep clients in mind when she sees something that would look nice) was great and I felt she really cared about making our space work for us even after the project was completed. I still send her pictures of items I think of buying and highly value her opinion. Hiring an interior designer can be daunting and feel very indulgent but if you find putting different items together time consuming and hard , it’s well worth investing in an interior designer. Definitely cheaper in the long run.

I truly enjoyed working with Chrissy and her team of talented subcontractors. My husband and I are new empty nesters and we were so ready to make the house our own! Chrissy and her team completed the total renovation of our house involving about 5,000 square feet. This included the design and installation of a new kitchen, 3 new baths, as well as the refurbishment and decoration of all bedroom and living areas. Chrissy started with an overall concept for the design of the house, bringing together the living areas and functional rooms into a unified and consistent aesthetic while allowing each room to be distinctive. She has an impeccable eye not only for detail, but also for the scale of each room and how each of the design elements, from furnishings with a focus on sustainable and classic materials, to fixtures, to design details, coalesce into a unified design principle. She was also able to complete the project on time and within budget, all the while never compromising on the overall design aesthetics of the finished product. We were thrilled with her openness, collaborative nature and willingness to listen, and were beyond happy with the final project. We cannot recommend her highly enough as a designer not only with an incredible vision, but one with the technical skills necessary to successfully execute that vision into reality.

Recommended to me by my architect, CLY Design did an amazing job transforming our home to reflect our updated style and needs. It was great working with Chrissy who took the time to really understand our goals as she worked tirelessly to meet our challenging deadline. Her recommendations for all the furniture and decor were impeccable! She has a great eye for mixing the new with old, and fabulously combined modern pieces with our heirloom furniture.
