A house without a well designed garden is like a story without an ending; never wholly satisfying. A great garden compliments a house and its owners, providing colour, interest and an ever changing backdrop that is an essential part of one’s home. I believe that gardens and their surrounding landscapes play a vital role in their ability to bring calm and perspective to our busy lives. The space around your house, no matter how large or small, should be somewhere you want to spend time, a peaceful place that you can go at the end of a busy day. Your garden is an extension of your home, a haven in which to relax and enjoy time on your own or to entertain friends and family. Whatever the individual challenges of your garden, I would be delighted to help you achieve the garden you have always wanted. I have always had a creative background, originally training as a Graphic Designer at Central St Martins. Since then I have worked for a variety of creative and innovative companies in the fields of design, illustration, marketing and operations. After settling down to have a family, my love of gardens and design came together when I took a Diploma in Garden Design at the highly regarded Garden Design School. I graduated with a distinction in 2009, winning the Student of the Year Award. Following my graduation I designed an award-winning Therapeutic Show Garden at The Royal Hampton Court Flower Show in 2010 for the charity Combat Stress. The garden was awarded a Silver Medal. Since then I have been running Fi Boyle Garden Landscape Design & Consultancy, based in the southwest of England at Stourhead in Wiltshire. Whilst much of my work is in Dorset, Somerset, Hampshire and Wiltshire, my work often takes me to London and the Home countries and further afield. I now also teach at the Garden Design School on the same diploma course that started my own journey.
