We cannot recommend Matthew and his team enough. They recently made and fitted a bespoke bookcase/ storage unit in our home office and we are absolutely delighted with it. Matthew guided us through every stage of the process with care, considering the smallest of details and advising us on all aspects, from the initial design concept right through to the day of installation. The workmanship that has gone in to the unit is of the highest quality and we can honestly say that the final piece was as we had envisaged and exactly how Matthew had illustrated it for us in the design drawing.

Matthew was very skilled through the design stages and listened to our requirements giving lots of options for finish, drawers and hanging. The guys were all really friendly and the installation completed in a couple of days. Stunning end result, really high end product for a very reasonable price, not much more than the high street fitted furniture retailers. We chose Matthew so that the wardrobes would fit the room, not bulked out with loads of infills to standard wardrobe sizes from those other retailers. We asked Matthew Roberts Carpentry to help us solve the problem of storing 500 books in the living room of our flat. Previously we had an average four bedroom house with two large reception rooms. Our 500 books were scattered throughout the house in various book cases and cupboards. Matthew’s solution was a bespoke bookcase with cupboard storage. We chose every detail from the cabinet material, colour, cupboard door design to the handles and door hinges. The result exceeded our expectations and for the first time all our books are in one location. It was installed on time. We would highly recommend Matthew his colleague Elliot and the rest of his team.

Friendly, professional and a pleasure to do business with. From design through to quality of workmanship, every detail was well thought out, discussed and created with passion. We had a custom wardrobe, shelving and desk installed under a staircase in a bedroom. The finish was wood grain coloured grey with blue detail, recessed handles. They were happy to pull through existing wall sockets into the wardrobe and under the desk and even installed a cable drop at the last minute to keep things looking neat! However big or small the job, I’d highly recommend Matthew Roberts and will definitely use them again!

Outstanding! Matthew and his team recently installed some additional furniture into my existing home library. My brief was that the units should complement the existing ones, but not match, and have the feel of an old style bookshop. Matthew interpreted this beautifully and the result is stunning! The workmanship is faultless and of the highest quality, both in the construction of the units and the finishing details.
