All staff very friendly, helpful, professional and approachable. Any concerns or questions were dealt with quickly and advice given. All building works were finished to a very high standard. My wife and I approached Fabric First to build our timber frame home. David Gordon came across well in the first instance reassuringly genuine, honest and easy to communicate with. Not the cheapest of quotes we received, but i believe we wouldn't have been offered the same service and at such a high level of finish with anyone else. The wider team and contractors were well managed, polite and did a fantastic job throughout. If we decided to complete a self-build again the only thing i would change is use Fabric First for the entire build rather than using a separate timber frame company. Working with the Timber frame company at times was stressful but David and his team helped us through the challenging times and went that extra mile to ensure a seamless and stress-free project start to finish. I would highly recommend Fabric First to anyone whether an extension, home upgrades or full on new build.

Like any building project there were some issues during the process. However, David was always very open and readily available to solve these. He’s very easy to communicate with and things move along at a good rate with care being taken at every stage to get the job done well. I would recommend fabric first.

We wanted an existing rear dinning room and kitchen demolishing and a new open plan kitchen dinner built in place increasing the footprint of the rear of the house. David came round to look at the job and was brilliant from start to finish. To keep the costs down, I demolished the original dining room and removed the kitchen, David and his team carried out all the building work getting us to a plaster finish ready for me to fit the flooring and fitting the kitchen. From the very start David attended site regularly and kept us updated on times and what work was scheduled for when. We made a couple of minor alterations on the build which were no problem for David and his team. During the removal of the rear walls, every effort was made to keep the disruption to a minimum and allow us access to the utility room which was a makeshift kitchen. The build was made watertight extremely quickly and ahead of the original timescale. The standard of work is to a very high standard, and all the trades used were polite, clean and tidy and their work faultless. The original timescale was set to have the building work finished in and around Christmas, but due to no holdups, delays or problems encountered the build finished in early December which allowed me to get the flooring and kitchen fitted in time for Christmas. Overall we would have no doubt in recommending David for any building work. It has made our first renovation project as painless as it could have been.

David Gordon of Fabric First Build Ltd project managed our extension in 2018 where we had an oak framed orangery put on the side of the house to open up the kitchen and had the garden landscaped. It was a genuine pleasure working with David. He's a problem solver at heart, just the ticket for a PM in construction, and works tirelessly to meet the expectations of his client. I've recommended David to a number of people and will use him again when it comes to our next project!

We were looking for a bespoke home with original features but importantly, it had to be energy efficient and be modern. Fabric First delivered on all of these criteria. We wanted a contemporary extension across the side and rear of our detached property and wanted a firm to be responsible of both the design and build of the project. David took the lead from start to finish instructing their own design contractors who they have a great relationship with - which helped no end to achieve the design we wanted. We commissioned Fabric First Build to build our bespoke family home for us. We wanted a company who could offer the full service from design to carrying out the build, and they didn’t disappoint. We wanted to create a ‘forever home’ which was thermally efficient and highly contemporary design. They gave us a number of architect lead designs which matched our criteria which we were absolutely delighted with. The build was executed without delay and on budget to such a high standard. We had a complex build on a difficult site that was too demanding for a single contractor on this scale. There were two different buildings requiring materials and expertise from diverse providers and coordination of numerous contractors. David Gordon from Fabric First found and selected specialist providers and project managed the build overcoming problems promptly and with impressive initiative. He worked harmoniously with the architect and communicated effectively with neighbours to minimise disruption. He delivered the project on time and on budget. His honesty, judgement and integrity were impeccable and it was always a pleasure to deal with him. I recommend Fabric First very strongly.
