I had spent a long time looking for a kitchen company that was ethical, thoughtful and environmentally focussed. Although I found a couple, they were miles away (nil points carbon footprint) and light years from my budget. I was so glad to find Boyes Design, local to me, and from our first conversation I knew that we shared the same values and approach to design and renovation. My brief was to make a kitchen that was minimalist, elegant and functional to my needs, without compromising on the environment or social cost. This was put to the test when they couldn’t source more of the birch plywood I was using, due to the war imposed on Ukraine. Boyes Design stuck to their ethics and did not compromise on this. Their values are embedded in each part of the process, including the support they offered to me in keeping me to my budget and helping me to source kitchen appliances at the best cost. I felt well taken care of. If you are in my situation, starting over, by yourself, I couldn’t recommend a better company. And, of course, the kitchen is the most beautiful room in the house. In a nutshell – I got exactly what I wanted, exactly in the budget I had. The carpentry is beautiful and the detailing is gorgeous. I had a fantastic experience, and the entire process was really rewarding. I have gained so much respect for those who make beautiful things by hand. I look at the kitchen and I think it is a reflection of all those things.

I have worked with Sam for a number of years on many projects. Sam is an excellent problem solver, always looking to find the best solution / design for a given situation. He has excellent attention to detail and delivers projects to very high standard. If you are looking for excellent designs and quality workmanship - look no further!

Sam and his team did a kitchen refit for us. They spent a lot of time upfront talking us through options and Co- creating the final design, look and feel. They were fantastic on site during the work and were open and flexible to fine tune the final look and feel. Sam and the team have made multiple items for us now, and we're always blown away by the quality and finish of everything. Our custom-made bed, in particular, is stunning, and we take every opportunity to show it off when friends are over. Thanks guys!

From initial ideas through to whole room design, Boyes design are second to none. Beautiful furniture, cool high end lighting and a great finish. We have used Sam and the team for many years. Can’t recommend enough.
