Very dissapointed - would not recommend. I was ASSURED I was receiving a 10 watt system, only found out after install and months of requesting an invoice that it was an 8 watt. They are refusing to honor agreement and fix. They broke furniture and badly scratched an antique dresser during install. Also left lots of garbage on jobsite. Feel I was taken advantage of. Too high priced for service received

A great company to work with. Everything was taken care of by them: permits, construction, connecting to the grid, etc.

Solar Smart Living installed my ChargePoint home EV Charger. The people performing the installation were professional and worked with me on the day of the installation to ensure I would be satisfied with the location of the installation. They also asked me to perform a walk-thru to make sure I was happy with the completed work. I would recommend them without hesitation. The work was professionally done and exactly as I wanted.

We bought a Sonnen battery system from SSL (Solar Smart Living LLC, Santa Teresa, NM) to add to a solar system being installed by local company. Most companies, which includes our local solar company, are unequipped and untrained to install these battery systems, but fortunately SSL is able to install them. But let me start from the beginning. About five years ago after a lengthy power outage we bought and installed a 22 kW Generac(R) generator. Now, however, we decided to go with solar and a battery in view of the likelihood of multiple, large electricity price hikes consequent to the Governor's wish to close the coal-fired Farmington electric plant. We also wanted to utilize the Generac(R) in our power plans, however, this particular Generac(R) was too large to connect directly to the Sonnen battery system for recharging without adding a large resistor pack that could waste much power. SSL worked very well with our local solar company to integrate the solar sytem with both the battery system and the generator. The Generac(R) was dedicated to run all our 240v equipment (clothes dryer, AC, ovens, grill, etc.) while the battery system ran our regular 120v powered devices. Since installation we had two outages that triggered battery-Generac(R) operation. The very first day after battery installation three successive outages prompted attention by SSL, who send a repairman late that evening, but found nothing obvious. We later discovered that these outages were caused by a vehicle accident forcing our electric company to shift around power distribution in their system. Our system was very sensitive to those transfers, but we have not had that trouble again. The second outage was caused by the slightest of issues within the electric company connect breaker box; that loose connection seven months after installation caused a slight arcing that repeatably threw the breaker. This forced us into a weekend battery-Generac(R) off-grid operation. Our combined 20kW Sonnen battery and 22 kW Generac(R) systems kept our ~20 kW daily usage powered day and night while our 9.15 kW (30x305w panels) solar system recharged the battery over each day over a three-day weekend. The SSL was very responsive to both issues, which we appreciate.

Solar Smart Living installed my system a little over two years ago, October 2016. First contact was with a sales representative, Christine, I was impressed, I next met with the owner, Larry, and was convinced. The installers and technicians came next. Each step of the way, the company and all personnel were courteous, professional, and punctual. One of the best decisions I have made. The installation crew gave me a blue cap, for which I begged, and I wear it with pride. The installation and subsequent performance have been flawless. My electric bill is less than nothing. Not every purchase works out, but this exceeded any expectations I had. Each time I look at the solar panels I have to smile. Recommend? You bet!

Larry and his team are top-notch. They worked with us to select the right system for our home and helped us navigate the utilities forms for getting compensated for our electricity production. The installation team was courteous and accommodated my frequent questions during installation.

These guys took care of everything. They did all the logistics, they were responsive to all my questions, and everything ended up exactly as they promised. I love the system now. It's saved a lot of money already and I can't wait to see how it performs going forward.

Contacted the company to learn about Solar Panels; they were great at showing me what they could do and were great at selling me on their product. The only reason why I am not giving five stars is because the salesman couldn’t answer some of my basic questions. I ultimately chose this company because of their location.

When I contacted the first time they were very friendly, clear and open to questions. When they presented their proposal, they were able to answer all my questions and they were not pushy in buying their proposal in the first place. They asked to look for other proposals or vendors and compare between. Finally, I took a decision based on timing of implementation, cost benefits and warranties. I really recommend this company for a solar solution.

Very pleased with the speed and efficient installation. Has been working just fine. $29 electric bill last month. Nice! Professional install.

I recommend this company for anyone thinking about installing a solar system. They provided us with all the info we requested and helped us in deciding on the best system for our needs. The staff and installers were prompt, efficient, and respectful. Our system works perfectly after 4 years and if I have questions I can call them.
