Beverly and Harry bid on replacing a bedroom wall in a very old log cabin, pointing out clearly that their bid included only what they could see and that all surprises in renovations are unpleasant, and promised to itemize and get my OK before starting any additional work. When they removed the wall and found unexpected water damage, they lived up to every word of their promise - pausing their work and sending photos with a new itemized estimate that showed everything I needed to know and made my decision to add repairs to their scope of work a very easy, comfortable one. They selected the materials to replace the wall they took out and came up with a rustic look that suited the log bedroom perfectly. The only problems with the job were caused by another contractor H&B had to wait for, some of whose word they redid within their price. Photos they took of a roofer’s work enabled me to show the roofer exactly what he needed to revisit. I really couldn’t be more pleased with their work and would rehire them for a similar project in a heartbeat. The first photo is of the finished job and the second shows how it looked when they started.

They did a great job rebuilding my deck with Trex and have done other small projects around my house (fan installation, light fixture replacement). I have already put them on the calendar for a bathroom upgrade.
