Max and Sean did an excellent job remodeling our basement. They listened to our needs and delivered exactly what was expected. They run their business with integrity and a strong work ethic. They communicated effectively throughout the project and kept us updated on their progress and what to expect each week. We will definitely use them for future project needs and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a company that partners with you and has your best interests in mind.

Contracted SMB to renovate my main bathroom. They were prompt on appointments and once work commenced, they were communicative. The issues that arose were from poor workmanship, rushing to finish the job and not using standard construction principles. I've had another contractor review their work and he was not impressed. They mounted a shower glass in the middle of a 4 inch stepped tile rather than on the edge towards the water side of the shower to minimize water pooling on the tile and leaking through to the other side. Their drywall work was very shoddy. Their tile work was poor because they didn't plumbline the tile for the shower glass so it's not mounted evenly against the tile throughout and on other sections of the shower the tiles are not smooth and grout isn't uniform. They attempted to add loads of silicon caulk where the water was leaking onto the dry side of the glass shower wall but to this day, it still leaks even with all the silicon gooped into the space between the glass and tile. When I asked about getting this fixed, I was first told that they warned me of water doing this, which they most certainly did not, and then, I was told that they had offered their "design services" for free so I should accept the issue. One of them did return though to try and stop the leak with the aforementioned silicon caulk three times but it still leaks. And towards the end of the job, they put in longer hours and rushed to finish the job with lots of minor issues that they came back to resolve. I would not recommend them for a complex job such as a bathroom remodel. I will be paying another contractor to fix these issues.

Sean and Max totally exceeded my expectations on my back elevated deck. They took all my ideas and made it a reality. They were pleasant to work with, their communication with me was excellent and they even came in slightly under budget. I really couldn’t be any happier with the job they did. I would hire them again in a second.

Sean and Alex did an amazing job! I had an unexpected flood in my basement and needed a contractor to come in quickly to rebuild. They were extremely quick to respond to my inquiry, showed up on time, knew exactly what I wanted and suggested great design elements. I had an estimate by the end of the same day. They made it so easy to work with my insurance agent. They were able to schedule me in the following week and it only took 4 days to complete the project. It turned out beautifully! It was also such a pleasure to have them in the house during the project. They brought in packages and groceries for me and were always so great to talk to. They made sure to keep me posted on progress both online and in person at the end of each day. They completed the project early and on budget. I am so pleased and will be hiring them again for other projects around the house!

SMB Homes completed two complete bathroom remodels and replaced all the doors in our house and it couldn't have been a better experience. From the initial visit and quote, Sean and Max were there when they said they'd be there, were incredibly professional, communicative and easy to work with. They provided us with the complete designs and suggestions for components that would help bring the bathrooms up to date and look really great. As someone with very little design background, this was very much appreciated. They were able to start the project within a reasonable timeframe, and every step of the process was made to be very easy for us. The work turned out amazing, and exactly what we were looking for. They were incredibly considerate of our space limitations (small condo), dog, and our 1 year old; and they cleaned up well at the end of the day and project. Their prices were reasonable and explained well. They gave us a project update every day letting us know how it compared to the original quoted timeframe. They finished just under budget, and just ahead of schedule. SMB Homes changed my view of what a contractor can do and should be. We will absolutely be using them again on future projects. SMB Homes was fantastic to work with from start to finish—thorough and thoughtful estimates, realistic time frames, meticulous about details, patient about the endless ridiculous surprises this house kicks up, and willing to figure out how to make our more unusual ideas work. Our first project included custom cabinets, floor refinishing, a custom copper backsplash, painting, and new cabinet hardware throughout the kitchen. I always knew what was happening and what it would cost, and the site was cleaned at the end of every day. They’re genuinely fun to have around and easy to work with. They also did a beautiful job on our fully renovated downstairs bathroom— including some of the best tile work I’ve seen in a long time, and they replaced sections of fence damaged in the last big windstorm. We’re planning more projects in the near future and can’t wait to work with them again.

I am very happy with the project. The price was reasonable, the workers (Sean and Max) were well insured, experienced, and very communicative. Before the contract signing, they made a 3D CAD to show how the product would look like. They took care of all the permits prior to the start of construction. All the work properly passed the city's inspection. They also adjusted the construction plans (after discussion) to make the finished product even better than the initial plans. I would definitely hire them again for future projects.

I looked everywhere someone that would take on a smaller project. I finally found SMB Homes and received a response in about 20 minutes. We met two days later at the job site and they had an estimate to me by the end of the day. The job was finished on time and with amazing quality. The job site was cleaned during and after their work and they hauled away all the leftover debris. I've worked with several contractors over the years and SMB Homes is at the top of the list. I highly recommend them, and I will keep them in mind for all future projects.

Sean Morris and SMB Homes LLC went above and beyond for my wife and I, and really exceeded our expectations. We were extremely impressed by the level of professionalism and care shown to us throughout the entire process, and blown away by the end result. Sean's creativity and craftsmanship showed through, and really helped make our creative vision come to life. With how painless Sean and SMB Homes made this process for my wife and I, we will absolutely be hiring them for future projects. Very conscientious workers - put in the house windows and the job done in amazing time and it looks great!

Sean and Max were very professional and clean when they arrived at my home. They asked questions that helped me be more clear on what I wanted so that they could find the best design options that fits my needs and interests. They were very helpful in presenting me with design options that I loved! It was great to feel heard and not overwhelmed by bigger home projects. I also was unable to say what my budget is because I don't know how much things cost and they were making it so that I could have options for budgeting and still get what I wanted. One of the best experiences I have had with builders.
