Making Room for Peace

I hate to write this negative review because I really like Anna and she is very talented at what she does. The relationship started out great. Lots of great ideas and suggestions. I was really excited about the items we had decided on. The process did take a while as I did change my mind a few times and/or delayed in making a decision, but we finally nailed down what we wanted. We placed an initial large order for furniture and decor. Some items were on back order for 6-8 months (to no fault of Anna's). We placed other orders after that as well. A few of the items ordered were not the right size (too big) and had to be returned. One item never arrived (was "lost"). I was charged for at least one item that was never ordered/received. The bookkeeping was a mess. I eventually received most of the refunds for items I did not receive or that had to be returned. Sometimes I would receive reimbursement for the sales tax I had been charged, but other refunds did not include sales tax. I paid $250 for shipping on an item that was never delivered, however, I did not receive a refund for the shipping. Anna formally "ended" our relationship several months ago, but I was still waiting on some times to be delivered and still waiting on refunds on items that had been returned. Recently I did a reconciliation and determined that she still owed me for a couple of items. But she refuses to respond to my emails, calls, and text messages. She asked me not to contact her again because, as she had notified me, she had "ended" our relationship. Ultimately I was very disappointed in the client service aspect.

Making Room for Peace is a rare find. Anna Beth is a pro when it comes to decluttering. She is also a pro when it comes to combining new pieces with family heirlooms to create a home that is a beautiful reflection of the people who live there. When we moved to our home in Toano, we had already decluttered significantly. We had selected new paint and furniture that we loved. The "bones" were good, but I did not know where to go from there. That's where Anna Beth came in. She selected additional pieces of furniture, art and accessories and interwove them with the items we already owned to create a space that is unique to our family. She is creative and has an excellent eye, but is also respectful of budget. What I especially appreciate is that, while some of my items which had sentimental value to me were not exactly perfect aesthetically, Anna Beth incorporated them beautifully into my home. The whole process was easy and enjoyable, and I love the results!
