WARNING! I hired Amber DiLane to build a custom home in 2014-2015. I have built a number of homes in the past, but this was the absolute worst experience that I have been through. It was a nightmare of construction errors, lack of accountability, poor quality and total lack of financial accounting.

If you look through the review section on our Houzz page and on our website, http://www.amberdilanehomes.com/about/testimonials, you will find your experience is certainly not the norm and for that we are grateful. Ninety eight percent (98%) of our customers are quite positive, evident by the huge referral and repeat business we have received since 1994. While it is ADH’s desire to achieve perfection in 100% of our customers eyes, we understand that is not always possible.

Our Express Home Warranty is a warranty of performance and the time the component is covered is based upon the type of component. All components are covered for one year, mechanical's for two years and structural for 10 years. Warranty repairs do not extend the performance warranty or restart the clock.

First of all, let me say that working with Chris was not only easy but enjoyable. We give him A++ for his attentiveness and willingness to meet our needs and wishes. The contractor we want to give kudos to is Kevin, the tile installer, his work was excellent. We know we are in a rural area and there is not a big selection of contractors to choose from. We are so happy!

Our experience with Amber DiLane Homes was wonderful, start to finish. We had the pleasure of using ADH on two homes and were happy with the experience both times. The best part of working with ADH has always been that they are true to their word- the bid was close to the final cost, the time goals were met and the people are beyond wonderful to work with. Peter Jordan is an artist as well as a builder. His “Peter Beams” are perfect. Mike McCord goes out of his way to meet all our desires with reality. Our vision while standing on an empty lot is now a beautiful studio/guest house. In short, I’m only sorry we don’t have another job for them now because we miss working with them.”

They were very professional when I asked them to give me a generalized bid (dollar per square foot) on a custom home, and I was up front that I had a builder already in mine but wanted to make sure I was in the ballpark for custom home pricing. They had built a home for my neighbors and had done a great job. Ultimately I went with the builder I had already begun the process with, and this particular builder is very closely tied to my family. Had this not been the case, I'm confident Amber DiLane would have been my top 1 or 2 choice based on the work I've seen, recommendations from others who've used them, and overall reputation.
