When I give friends a tour of our new home in Jacksonville Florida I continually mention Jackie as we move from room to room. I'm still astonished that my husband and I were able to find our perfect home and have it so well decorated…that’s where Jackie came in and saved us. This is our third home together and our friends can attest we don’t have a single decorating bone in our bodies; so when we purchased in Jacksonville we enlisted the services of Jackie Carlson, Lead designer at Ethan Allen and have been over the moon ecstatic on the results. Three reasons that I can say Jackie truly saved us: 1. She clearly listened to us both and worked to ensure our individual likes blended with an overall vision (not to mention she acted as a much needed referee when decisions had to be made). 2. Jackie took us out of our comfort zone and made choices that I wouldn't have made… ever…and now those are my favorite aspects of the home. First she suggested we use a sitting room off our primary bedroom for the king size bed which has three walls of windows; she covered all three walls in amazing drapes that create a cocoon feeling in that room and I'm delighted every day to be in that space. Second she chose a cocktail table for our living room which is the most amazing and functional piece of furniture I’ve ever owned. Kudos! 3. I was truly astonished how she could pivot and still keep the flow of the design. My husband spotted a chair in the showroom and wanted to deviate from her initial plan and she said not a problem and immediately made the necessary fabric and carpet choices to make those chairs work and now the chairs are everyone’s favorite pieces in the house!
