Sarah Dane-Brown Designs

Sarah helped me re-design my kitchen, guest bathroom, and primary bathroom and I could not be more pleased with the results. This was my first renovation project and I am beyond grateful and lucky that I had Sarah to help guide me through the entire process - all while I was still living in a different city no less. She has a keen eye for design (she's an amazing artist herself) and can work within a diverse range of styles with ease. I had a general idea of the overall design I wanted to go with (contemporary with Scandinavian influences) and Sarah was able to help me beautifully fine tune and execute the plans. She is a warm and genuine person and I appreciated how collaborative and patient she was. I never felt pressured to make a quick decision on anything and she was always available to talk me through any questions I had and offered creative suggestions or solutions whenever the project plans needed to slightly pivot. I cannot say enough good things about Sarah! Just trust that you will be in very good hands when you work with Sarah on your renovation project!

We wanted to remodel our kitchen since it had been refurbished 25 years ago. Since I had sub-contractors I had worked with in the past, I wanted to be my own General Contractor. What we did need was a designer. We knew we wanted to move a wall to make the space larger and to take the stove out of the center of the kitchen. I researched designers and called Sarah. She was fantastic! As our home was built in 1974, we knew there would be some challenges. Sarah did all the measurements and I appreciated her detail and precision. We could tell she’s done this many, many, times. She suggested a new company for cabinets she was working with. Her first design included a banquette. Little did she know that I love banquettes! After modestly tweaking the design we ordered the cabinets from Merit. Sarah guided me through the whole project including suggestions of where to purchase appliances. She worked with my carpenter, electrician, countertop fabricator and plumber. Sarah ordered sample cabinet doors and drawers as we chose two different finishes on the top and bottom. She suggested and ordered all the hardware to complete our beautiful new kitchen. We are so thankful for her design, counsel and support throughout the whole project. We highly recommend Sarah Dane-Brown for your next remodel project!

Sara Dane-Brown Designs is very good at designing and assisting the customer in the process of design. She stays in communication with her clients as well as her contractors to keep the project moving forward. She's very good about scheduling in advance as well as making sure materials are available. As is the case in most kitchen and bath remodels things are constantly changing, it is a tremendous help to me as a general contractor to know whats going on at all times. I would say one of Sara's biggest assets are her communication skills.
