Sherry Pierce, owner and designer, focuses closely on her client's home by uncovering the details needed to work within their budgets, tastes and lifestyle. Born and raised in East Greenwich Rhode Island, Sherry Pierce first opened her doors as Affordable Elegance Interior Design in 1989. As her client base grew so did the design staff employing 3 designers and 2 full time installers. Voted one of the “10 Best Designers” In 1996, Sherry moved her family and business to Westerly, RI. Sherry has the unique ability to meld old with new and works hard with all budgets -If she can't find it she will make it! We could not be more pleased with the complete bathroom renovation designed and overseen by Sherri at Watch Hill Designs. Her attention to detail is impeccable and her design skills are unmatched. She defines the phrase "going above and beyond". She was in constant communication with us, updating us on our project, and went out of her way to make sure everything was absolutely perfect. She was with us from the beginning, from selecting the first tile....to the end of hanging the last towel. We will ONLY use Sherri at Watch Hill Designs for any of our future projects and recommend her without hesitation.

I paid design fee. Ms Pierce spent 20 minutes in my home and agreed to help to redecorate. I was told I would receive ideas and color pallet soon.. I never received and had no response to several emails and phone calls.After much time passed I asked for a refund. Ms. Pierce became quite nasty saying she sent something but never heard from me again. Not true. Although she agreed to refund the fee this never happened. She said she mailed or her accountant had but I never received nor did she receive it back in the mail and the check was never cashed. I again asked her to refund the check. I asked in a patient and pleasant manner. She responded very unpleasantly and in a condescending way. It was not a large amount of money. To this day I can’t fathom why she chose to handle a dispute in this manner especially after reading other positve reviews. O stars were not available.

Sheri was a joy to work with . Really knowledgeable and efficient with a keen eye towards the whole look. Great advice & respectful of the budget . The house has really tall windows & she came up with perfect solutions using all Hunter Douglas products .

Phyllis made my job so easy - her home should be in a magazine, it is alive like no other home I have ever had the privilege to design. Phyllis has a keen sense of balance. With roots set in Italy, she has collected art from around the world that showcases this spectacular home. The way Phyllis has melded old world charm and contemporary pieces is amazing!
