This is a business of love and passion for Joanne. Collecting for over 30 years and hearing so many compliments along with so much curiosity, friends were amazed at the way Joanne put things together. She was constantly told, she should go into interior design. Ideas like using an old potting table as a desk, old gilded frames for mirrors or old metal school locker baskets as bathroom shelves. Using something old as something new. If there was nothing wrong with something and it could be used for another function, why fill up the landfills. Out in the country, this was the way of life. Living on 5th avenue in Manhattan, this was new to most or something some were running away from. Today it's called "repurposing". What a great word and what a wonderful thing to do! After years of hearing so many compliments and been given so much encouragement, it was time to take her talent and vast collection to the outside world. To those who loved the look, but weren't ready or didn't want to step out of the box. Not everyone wants to live with peeling paint or tattered furniture, or even tufted french furniture. Renting items made it possible to give people a taste of a different look when they had a party, wedding or some type of event. They didn't have to commit to the look and live with it in their everyday life.
