Urban Roof Gardens

Go Modern recently collaborated with Urban Roof Gardens for the 2018 Designjunction event (part of the London Design Festival) on the South Bank. Urban Roof Gardens showcased their fabulous designs in the courtyard behind the OXO Tower. Their featured garden design showed how we can all stylishly green up any urban space by using their amazing modular 'Live Product' range which includes 'Live Walls', 'Live Pictures' and a 'Live Roof' with a very clever watering mechanism. To help create the right ambiance Go Modern were proud to have lent Urban Roof Gardens some stunning garden furniture from two of the world's leading outdoor furniture brands:- MANUTTI and Tribù. The pieces lent were the: Modular Manutti Zendo Sofa, 2 Tribù Nodi Garden Armchairs, 2 Tribù Tosca Garden Dining Chairs and the amazing Tribù T-Table with its beautiful Lava Stone table top. At all times throughout the process Urban Roof Gardens were an absolute pleasure to do business with and we were extremely impressed by their attention to detail and professionalism at every stage of the project. We highly recommend Urban Roof Gardens and look forward to working with them again on future projects.

We hired Urban Roof Gardens to redesign our terrace. We already had one on top of our back addition roof, put up by the previous owner, but was very dull and uninviting. We loved the terraces on the website and decided to give them a call. Pierre came up with a design that was meeting both our taste and our needs for the outdoor space (we have 2 toddlers which are out there a lot). They supervised the tender and construction process and made sure everything goes smoothly. It took a few weeks longer than estimated, due to some bespoke materials we had to wait for, but it was all worth it! Overall a nice experience and we would recommend them.

I am surprised to read this review. My experience with them has been the exact opposite. They got planning permission for my roof terrace, redesigned the interior of my flat, and then supervised the whole construction. They were very professional and the result is excellent.

I paid thousands of pounds for a design that was not feasible, did not work in our space, and was based on an inaccurate assessment of our conservation status. The only "design' element was a proposed built-in barbecue and refrigerator unit that would not fit (Urban Roof Gardens did not accurately measure the size of our water tanks). The final design presentation was a layout we specifically said we did not want (it included a dining table and chairs and we specifically said we did not want them). There was no CAD or 3-D presentation - they simply drew (in pen) on a paper layout of the roof terrace. After paying thousands for the "design", URG wanted thousands more to prepare proper drawings and manage the bidding process. We would have paid more than !0,000 GBP before any construction even began - so we ended our project with URG. I would not recommend.
