The entire Kurzhaus Team has been a great resource during our remodel project. Standing in my light-filled kitchen, I’m so grateful and completely in love with the house Trevor designed for us. His vision and talent took a plain ranch and transformed it into something special – with unique design details inside and out. It is truly beautiful! He thought of everything and even showed us how to layout the furniture!

Trevor and his team lifted our 1942 cottage and added a full basement and beautiful deck and porch. We will definitely consult with Trevor and his team on future renovations.

I hired Kurzhaus in2013 to do what I've seen them do for so many others and that was to build a beautiful new addition. Our addition was exactly what we expected - Beautiful! I'm writing this review because of what we didn't expect. We didn't expect that a team of skilled carpenters would spend endless amounts of time getting to know us, what we wanted and how this one room would best our growing family. Despite our small space and tight budget they provided us with so many options we would never have known would be available. They were always professional, approachable and patient as we made several changes during this process. They were very accommodating and considerate to our family as we vacationed in the house during construction. Yes I would definitely recommend this company to anyone searching for an experienced skilled team. They will guide you through every detail and leave you with a place you will be proud to call your home.

Last spring we hired Kurzhaus to renovate our entry. From the start they were a pleasure to work with and were very responsive to our many questions, concerns and requests. Our old setup was definitely dated and Kurzhaus came with some great suggestions on how we could modernize our entry while still maintaining the style of our home. They completed the work in the time frame they quoted and kept a clean work area, which was a concern of ours. In the end we could not be happier with the outcome and service which I don't think we would have received from some of the contractors we had initially met with. I would highly recommend this company and plan to have them return for more work in the future.

I have had the most amazing experience with Kurzhaus Designs. Their entire team are true visionaries that have helped me construct my dream home. They expanded and customized my kitchen- Jen Cassidy specifically walked me through how to create my dream kitchen, spending time to walk through colors, materials, fixtures. I also opted for the polyurethane foam insulation system, which has made a notable difference in my once drafty new england home. Besides all of the custom details in the interior our outside is beautifully done!..New lighting fixtures and a gorgeous deck that we spend all of our time on during the warm months.

Working with Kurzhaus has been nothing short of pleasure. Trevor's ideas are unique and the finished product was spectacular. He truly is an artist. Their designs are a refreshing change from the cookie cutter work I've seen by competing Designers/Builders. Jen has a great eye, and kept me on budget without feeling like I compromised in any way. Everything was done in a timely manner, I would highly recommend them to everyone.

Kurzhaus built two houses on one property in Orleans MA in 2009-11, which we bought in 2011. One of the houses is a total restoration of a 150 year old house and the other is new construction. The quality of the design and construction is excellent with numerous customized features and custom carpentry. Since our purchase, we've had Kurzhaus build an outdoor shower, expand a screened in porch and build and install a gas fireplace with custom mantel, soapstone surround and built in shelves and woodwork. All their work is of the highest quality with great attention to design and detail and is done in a timely basis with appropriate pricing. Trevor Kurz and his team are very knowledgeable, creative and practical.

We consulted with Kurzhaus Design in the planning stage of our Cape house renovation. They were extremely talented and made recommendations that we otherwise would have missed, well outside the normal contractor grade work. The planning went so well we awarded the renovation work and again the results were beyond our expectations. The craftsmanship is outstanding and to date the joints are tight and the work still looks new. I was out of the country for most of the work however found if easy to communicate with Kurzhaus on any changes. Kurzhaus was the right design build contractor for us, we have contracted them for a recent pergola addition and again the results exceeded our expectations, we would highly recommend them.
