Mike and his team at Tiffin Millwork have facilitated one of the best contractor experiences I've had. From start to finish they guided me through every process of our remodel with the utmost care and ministration. When I first met Mike it was to refinish a very unusual and rare piece of furniture. I did not want just anybody working on this piece, because of how special it was to me and the necessary skills required to redo such a fixture, so I reached out to Tiffin (on the recommendation of a friend who worked with them when they needed a historic building remodeled downtown). The finished product was better than I could've imagined, Mike and his teams use of discretion allow for the perfect balance of knowhow and expertise to give you the best possible outcome. Additionally I do not shop by price but was pleasantly surprised when I received my invoice. The work was done promptly, while emphasizing quality and longevity. Fast forward two years later, my wife and I wanted to update our home in Shorewood, and only one company came to mind, Tiffin. When they came out for our initial consult, we knew right away they were the best fit for the job. We had several other companies come out but were not impressed with their vanilla approach of things. We wanted something unique and special to our property and Tiffin delivered. They worked through the project, making suggestions along the way that improved the overall quality, flow, and outcome of the project. They even refinished and altered some existing furniture to make it fit better in the new space which my wife and I were very pleased with. If you are in the market for any kind of millwork, remodeling, refinishing, or custom furniture and carpentry with an emphasis on quality, communication, and customer service, Tiffin has the experience, skill, equipment, and workforce to deliver. The only thing I'm not looking forward to is when the tax assessor comes around and reappraises our newly updated home! I do not think they would be a good fit for you, if your focus is exclusively on low cost low quality cookie cutter jobs. This is going to sound too good to be a real review, but we were super-impressed with Tiffin-Thorson. The project was for a modest-sized wine cellar in a 1927 Tutor-style home on Lake Drive. The first surprise was design renderings that were in color and quite detailed. The second surprise was the attention to detail, including wine drawers that can be adjusted to accommodate large or small format bottles. The lighting plan and layout was well-designed, top-quality, and the execution was as promised and on budget.

Mike, Jose and crew were reliable and respectful. They made my vision become a reality. Some times I walk into my kitchen and just smile. It is very thing I envisioned and more. They refaced my kitchen cabinets - they look terrific. Even better than I expected. But the best was my coffee bar with lighted cabinet. It was just a dream but Mike and the crew made it a reality. I explain what I wanted. They made it come true. I even have a moveable cabinet with drawer and places for wine tea and coffee Now I have them working on another project. If I can dream it. Mike and Jose can do it.

I called Tiffin Millwork to see about making a custom radiator cover for a church that I am the property manager for. I had talked to a number of HV/AC companies and they said getting a custom cabinet was my only option. I loved the idea of having it made out of wood to create a soft welcoming feel to the room. Mike completed our kitchen renovation and addition. My wife and I are extremely pleased with the result. It is now the center piece of our 1950's mid-century home. It has been featured in the Journal Sentinel, and recently recognized as Best of 2016 Kitchen renovations in the Journal Sentinel. Mike is a genius. He knows wood intimately. He knows machinery esp those that are connected to processing wood. He's a clever designer and his suggestions often "make" the project a great success. He is clever with his hands and can perform all manner of successful work.

We own a 1931 bungalow in Whitefish Bay, WI. It has beautiful, old woodwork. We had a defunct laundry chute that was just wasting space in a spot where we really could use a pantry. Mike came in, measured everything out and very carefully recorded the cut, color and style of the existing woodwork. He built and installed a beautiful pantry in the desired spot. It looks like it's been there forever - a perfect match. My wife loves having this extra space for all of our new baby's food and supplies. Thanks!
