We have used Thunderchild Remodeling for a multi-phase, multi-floor renovation of our 100+ year old Philadelphia row home. The projects included a third floor bathroom, installation of a laundry closet on second floor, and a gut renovation of our first floor. I cannot speak highly enough about Thunderchild Remodeling, and the benefits of working with a design/build firm. Reese (the owner and designer) guided us through the process of our renovation, advising us as to whether a finish or fixture was a) in line with our overall vision, b) consistent with the potential future use of our property as a rental, and c) financially prudent. All of his recommendations were further guided by feasibility in the construction and, again, keeping our overall costs down. He would raise flags whenever we made a request or suggestion that would require a significant amount of labor or expensive materials, which would have driven up the overall cost. We always appreciated his candor and honesty, and he always respected any deviation we took from his guidance. The latter did not happen often. A couple final notes: We appreciated the professionalism and craftsmanship of his staff and consequently, we have the utmost confidence in the quality of work from the subcontractors that he used during the renovations. Reese's recommendations for sourcing materials (a mix between local businesses and larger stores) always bore out to be the cheapest option for purchasing materials. As a testament to how happy we have been with Thunderchild Remodeling and Reese, we intend to proceed with yet another renovation--kitchen and second floor bathroom-- this year. We highly recommend Thunderchild Remodeling without hesitation.

It's been a four years since Reese and company converted my older spaces into a larger bathroom and an upstairs laundry room. I am completed convinced it has changed my daily life; I don't have to wash clothes at a laundromat anymore! The workmanship and design are fantastic, and my memories of the experience were truly professional.

Reese and his team recently completed our row home kitchen renovation in South Philadelphia. Their quality of work was excellent and their prices very reasonable. Reese was always professional- very prompt to answer our questions, return calls, etc. They kept their tools and building supplies very organized and respected our home- even left the outside light on for us every night when they left.
