The White Monkey is a cool and hip vintage store serving Ottawa and the surrounding area Owned by Jim Robinson, The White Monkey is located at 395 Gladstone Avenue for the past seven years. Jim had always wanted to own “a classy junk store”, which helps to explain the amazing eclectic mix of furniture and accessories. Inside at The White Monkey StoreSome of the store specialities include taking old and abused upholstered chairs and sofas, refinishing the frames and covering them in a timeless, classy fabric. Taking old lamps cleaning them up, re-wiring them and putting on a new shade is another speciality. Jim finds the treasures in thrift stores, from estates, and from antique pickers. He loves taking something neglected and making something beautiful out of it. If you are looking for that something special you will find it at the White Monkey!
