The Modern House

The Modern House is an estate agency, selling exceptional homes in urban and rural locations throughout Britain, from offices in central London. The agency's name is inspired by F.R.S. Yorke’s celebrated book ‘The Modern House’ (1934), which introduced Modern Movement architecture to a British audience. The central themes of Modernism are at the heart of all of the properties represented: flowing space, high levels of natural light and a truth to materials. The Modern House meets the growing demand for exceptional living spaces of all kinds, including lofts, factory conversions, architects’ own homes, and period houses with excellent extensions and superior interiors.
