We hired Tischendorf Remodeling to tear out our old swimming pool and replace it with a large deck a few years ago. The crew was professional and did excellent work. Todd and his staff helped us throughout the process from demolition to design. They truly care about their quality of work and want their customers to be happy with the results. Recently we had an issue with the deck settling and sinking in a few spots, and they returned to make sure the problem was corrected to our satisfaction. Mary and I moved to Pittsburgh in the summer of 2019. We bought our condo later in the year and began our plans to remodel it. We are Pennsylvania natives, but lived in the eastern and central part of the state and were not familiar with Pittsburgh area contractors. We began to interview several contractors to discuss our ideas about what could be done in the remodel. Most of the contractors were cooperative, but some were more so than others. Some contractors included design features that others did not. By the time we completed the interviews with these contractors we were happy to settle on Tischendorf Contractor Services because we felt they listened to what we had in mind, we found them easy to work with, their costs fit our budget and their range of services fit our every need as the remodel plan was formed. We began the remodel in January, 2020 and were eager to complete the process by the end of March. By mid-March, however, the state issued orders to shutdown construction activities because of COVID-19. At that point we were only a few weeks away from completing what we started. At the time the shutdown order was filed, there was confusion about what was covered, what was excluded, and whether an exception could be obtained for a project that was only a few weeks away from completion. Independent of our urging Todd inquired about the ability to complete our job and was granted the authority to do so. What we started is now essentially completed with some minor work left to do that will be done in the coming months. We are settled into the remodeled unit and are enjoying what we bought. In sum, we are pleased with the work that Todd’s crew has done as we got to know many of the regulars throughout the construction process. The prices he quoted were the prices we paid. After making an initial payment, we paid for work that was done during the prior week. This kept us up to date and allowed us to put off some of the work until later. Our experience with Todd and his workers was pleasant and professional. We are pleased with our decision, the outcome of the work and we are happy to offer this recommendation to others who are looking for construction and remodeling services. Yes. We are very pleased with our dream kitchen, new fireplace, and deck roof. Todd and his entire crew really listened to what we wanted and made it happen in our small Mt Lebanon kitchen! The crew was very professional and respectful of our home and dog! They rebuilt a fireplace that looks like it was the original in 1927. When my husband and I moved into our Mt. Lebanon home in 2001, we said we would do a full kitchen makeover. It took 16 years to get around to it, but in 2017 Tischendorf helped us finally realize our goal. Tischendorf helped us plan the space that used to be our dining room and kitchen with all the things we would need for a livable eating area. The results are wonderful. We thought Tischendorf had done a really good job until we started talking to others in our area who were remodeling kitchens. Then, we realized that Tischendorf had done an AMAZING job. It took only 8 weeks to finish the project which included taking down a support wall; gutting two rooms to the studs; ripping up the floor; removing a door and window and bricking up the exterior; placing a support beam in the ceiling; laying a new hardwood floor; building a custom L-shaped bar and putting in all the cabinets, appliances, and countertops. The price was reasonable and the guys who came to our house every day were SO courteous, kind and diligent. We actually missed seeing them everyday after the project was done. How often can a homeowner say that?

When it comes to renovating a kitchen that includes knocking down walls and moving water lines, gas lines etc. it can be overwhelming. Not knowing where to start Todd and his crew guided us into one of the best decisions of our lives. The entire project from start to finish was smooth and on time.
